Can we give over on Club v Country..... on 15:02 - Dec 11 with 1076 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | If people care more about Ipswich than England then fair enough. For me it's both but England have given me a lot more to get excited about in big games over the last 5 years. Ipswich for best part of two decades (outside of 14/15) really nothing, although hopefully turning the corner. However, when people call it a "good day" when their county loses a World Cup QF because Town got 3 points, is just stupid. Was absolutely gutted last night.

Fair enough. Are you Welsh? Or do you just have the misfortune of living in Swansea? Must be rubbing off on you either way :)

Nah, English. Just not that fussed with the national team. It was different when I was a kid and we had a few internationals in our team, but I've not been fussed for a while. And maybe yeah it's partly because I've been away for 25 years.

Don't know why it's ever made into a binary choice, the two aren't mutually exclusive - it's perfectly possible to be simultaneously happy at one but unhappy at the other.

Me personally I find it hard to be a massive england fan when it's just basically the most well paid English players playing football together who should do better than they end up doing.

Didn't say it was but hardly a good day as an English football fan yesterday!
Can we give over on Club v Country..... on 17:31 - Dec 11 with 899 views | Oldsmoker | I was 12 in '66 which was my first World Cup. I have got used to England failures. It's a case of when not if. When England lose the country mourns and the Sun goes mental. I live in Bristol and when Town lose no one here gives a f..... So the fortunes of Town are personal to me but England not so much.

Can we give over on Club v Country..... on 17:43 - Dec 11 with 889 views | boroughblue | Said at the start of the tournement that I wasn't that fussed, so not going to change my mind now. Found it difficult to get into when Town as still playing, and actually seriously competing for something this season. sad to lose, is tough to take, but have barely given it a second thought today. My main trail of thought has been 'we won and we're top of the league.' Hard to be down when we're doing this well and looking like genuine top two contenders for the first time since dropping into league 1.
Can we give over on Club v Country..... on 19:33 - Dec 11 with 842 views | Asa | I can’t even comprehend how people can love England as much as their club. I know plenty do. It’s just not for me. I’d love England to win something. But thinking of Town winning something absolutely trounces the feeling I get from England potentially doing the same.
Can we give over on Club v Country..... on 19:45 - Dec 11 with 816 views | stopmoaning | Yeah, I'm not as emotionally attached to England as I am Ipswich. Town scoring makes me shout for joy, England scoring makes me think "that's good". England winning something would be great, but it doesn't impact me on a an emotional level.
