I feel a bit under the weather, and a little bit flat and anxious in the run up to Christmas, despite looking forward to it. Quite a nice day where I am though, so will probably take a good, long walk later. Eager for kick off on Saturday, although Wycombe worry me.
Have been flicking through last night's and this morning's threads and have found them to be quite tetchy with a lot of people getting their claws out for no real reason. So I ask, how are you today? What's good? What's bad? What are you going to do about it?

Covid hit me last week, now recovering. Off to Suffolk to visit relatives this weekend (I live in York) - I never feel quite prepared for the Christmas visit and it's always rushed having to see many people, as my my relatives don't visit the North so all the pressure is on us!
Mum's dementia is progressing so it will be an interesting weekend.
It is what it is, got to keep on.
The best mental health medicine I have is to go for a walk and try to spot things, like birds, or unusual brick work, on buildings, something different to make your mind wander. |
Glad to hear you're on the mend, enjoy your time with your family :) Hopefully you'll get some time to put your feet up amongst the travelling.

I don't feel ill as such, although I did a Covid test yesterday as I have a continual metallic taste in my mouth - I am though, by all accounts Covid free.
I have a mix of tiredness and apathy - with a bit of anxiety mixed in - plus I can't concentrate on anything.

Sorry to hear that and hope your melancholy mood passes. Good to know you ate covid free, but sounds like you should see dentist - I think a metallic taste is often a sign of gum disease, so good to rule that out to start with.
If you're feeling foggy, don't push yourself too hard. How long has it all been going on, could be worth a doc's appointment too. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you get your mojo back soon! | |

As of the last few days I'm feeling pretty good, but the last few months have been sh1te tbh.
Have had a string of bugs and colds, culminating in a bad case of the flu a few weeks ago. Loads of stress and hassle with a house purchase that fell through after 6 months, generally feeling miles off colour and pretty bloody miserable.
But we've now found another house, and I finally feel bug free. Christmas can happen happily now! |  |

Bit sluggish this morning. Binned off work and took the hound out for a slow, but lovely long walk across Wortham Ling. Met a few other dog walkers who exchanged pleasantries with.
Opened birthday present from the lad on my return. Blackout shirt. Absolutely made up with that. Perusing on here in front of the wood burning stove and in fine fettle now.
Mrs SSB back home tommorow afternoon after another gruelling week away so will be celebrating turning 62 at the weekend.
Glass or two of a cheeky Rioja this evening and will enjoy an episode of The Traitors.
