Yep, Mbappe for 15 minutes was unplayable and in any other final he leaves a winner. I feel sorry for Giroud, as he’d had an excellent tournament up until today but obviously wasn’t right/well.
Fitting that Messi gets the big one though.
Strange World Cup for me. I didn’t have much interest for a lot of it, but whenever I did watch a match it was normally excellent. And then there’s the political backdrop too. A very odd one. |  |

Fantastic end to a brilliant player’s international career. Well deserved. Messi is up there with the greats: Pele, Maradona, Eusebio, Best, Ronaldo.
