I'm expecting us not to spend this transfer window...in terms of fees. 09:34 - Dec 30 with 2434 views | homer_123 | Inflated prices during the window. I expect to see Luongo in on a free and poss two (max) loan signings. One being a replacement for Cats nephew. For me, the other logical option is Wickham but the issue there is it would be the end of Jan before we see him. Out of contract...minimal cost and as good as we'll get at this level.

Whilst it's not always about spend.. IF we didn't obtain 1 or 2 with serious outlay... I'd be questioning the ambition of the club. All the good work around the club upto now is great and clearly shows they mean business...but if you don't back the manager in what clearly is a massive transfer window then questions should be asked.

I think we'd be shrewd right now. Not saying we won't back KM but I don't think Ashton will go silly. Nothing to suggest we'll go nuts on fees.

When I say ‘go big’ on Taylor, I’m probably talking around the Davis kind of figure, not the 10m quoted for Taylor last summer. No way Ashton will not want to pass up on this opportunity to strengthen the squad given our position.

Oh I agree. I don't expect to see any crazy fees like that but something to suggest we are looking to buy quality and happy to do so rather than spending on backups like Ahadme.

Viewed as a long term project if they can get the right players in for the right price I think they will.

The signings of Ahadme and Camara do concern me going into January. As time goes on there's more and more a whiff of panic about their arrivals (one has barely been picked by the manager and the other was signed injured and is still injured). I hope we have a better plan in place this time around and aren't scrabbling around on 31st January like we were on 31st August.

Not to mention is easier to sign players now rather than if we get prompted to Championship in terms of owners investing.

I'm expecting us not to spend this transfer window...in terms of fees. on 18:16 - Dec 30 with 1533 views | Westcountryblue | I think we probably will 'splash the cash' on a couple of players this window. There is absolutely no way the US owner will want another season at this level, nor want to lose the feel good factor and big gates that the club has right now. I don't expect us to make many changes at the back, with perhaps the exception of Edmundson leaving on loan and another Burgess type coming in (helping our ability to deal with high balls into the box). I think we'll go big on a striker and a lock pick style 10. May see a back up central midfielder (probably Luango) and a wide right to push and cover Burns. Hopefully TJJ will be retained, as i think he is a really good, versatile player.
