I was there that night. If it wasn't for him we would've lost that. Could do nothing about the Gidman goal that beat him but made so many good saves , including a few one on ones, he was deservedly man of the match.

I was there. I only remember it because Jackson was actually a well known and very good keeper in his day. I don’t remember anything about his performance or the game tbh.

I remember the game and loads of Town matches from 1970 to the present day.
However, when Mrs SSB sends me down to the shop, i always forget two items out of the five i'm tasked with getting.
Strange.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

The Warky overhead kick was the following season. It was also the official opening of the Piomeer stand.

I thought he only played one but I just checked and he played a League Cup game plus a League game.

As I remember it, the League game was a week or two before a trip to Norfolk and George Burley had concerns about playing Andy Marshall up there so he gave Pullen a try out and it did not go well.

Not certain that that is why Pullen played but I believe it was with a view to him playing in Norfolk.
