Saw this tweet and it’s a good question…
I think it would be to win the FA Cup, I know it’s now why it used to be but if we got to the final it would be a big thing around the world! It’s only devalued when the same old teams get to the final and no one really cares who wins out of Chelsea v Liverpool.
Plus we’d be in Europe wouldn’t we?

Sad to say this is a pointless question as we won't win the FA cup and whilst a good draw in the next round will add to the coffers the league is the most important not only for a majority of fans but the health of the club. We know we have far better owners than since the days of the Cobbold's but even they want us in the Championship and the Prem a.s.a.p. I was lucky enough to go to most of the games when we won the FA cup and it was a glorious time and we had a very good team. Sadly those heady days have been so few and far between and whilst it will always have a huge place in my heart I want to see us out of this League strewn with clubs only intent on gaining a point by time wasting and sticking everyone behind the ball. My hope is that should we leave this league that referees are a bit better. Can they be worse ? | | | |
