Something isn't right? That would be this manager's lack of ability to rectify things. All three Donacien, Woolfenden and Burgess have been poor/complacent for a while. Would drop 2 of these 3 for the Morecambe game. |
We conceded seven goals in nine matches after Edmundson got injured, and only two goals in one game once. Not as good, but not 'considerably' worse. I would bring in Clarke for Donacien. I think Burgess has been worse than Woolfenden of late but will Edmundson be comfortable on the left of defence? I suppose he did well there from January to March last season though that was, from memory, in more of a three. I would return to that.

Woolfenden isn't free of his responsibilities either. Just because he can carry the ball doesn't mean he is a perfect central back. His main job is to defend and he's been failing like both Donacien and Burgess. Them three have been unreliable for a while. Why were they selected again? At least of them ought to have been dropped. Well they did totally change their shape - even their fans had no clue what they were doing

Because Karl Robinson seems to have learnt the lessons following the Boxing Day game. Our manager meanwhile doesn't seem able to offer any solutions when things go against us. [Post edited 21 Jan 2023 18:46]

Shouldn't we be prepared for a team changing their shape. Something is wrong at the moment. Maybe if we had a plan b or c we could overcome it. Its so frustrating when you look at our squad. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

So if you were manager but unable to see the shape they've changed to due to fog, what would you do?

blaming the fog for not knowing a teams change in formation. Even KM didn't say that.

He did see the change though, otherwise how could he comment on it afterwards? [Post edited 21 Jan 2023 20:40]
