what excuses today then, obviously fog to start with on 16:52 - Jan 21 with 2586 views | Illinoisblue | Woeful finishing, mostly. Harness, Burns, Hirst and Chaplin all failed in the six yard box. That and a generally casual spineless effort against a poor team

Deteriorating into the worst failure in our history. Although weirdly, and I have no explanation for this and no clue why, but I fancy us in the play offs!

Simples, we give soft goals away and fail to score goals in the past 3 months Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth deserve to go up while we will be struggling to make play offs

Yep - we've thrown mad money at this team..... Charlton has absolutely screwed us; we've looked ropey as fck ever since that.

what excuses today then, obviously fog to start with on 17:10 - Jan 21 with 2164 views | Stewart27 | We’re absolutely spineless in both boxes. This one hurts because I think that’s it for automatics. I’ve been so positive all season. It’s not just our little blip. It’s the fact that Plymouth and Wednesday are relentless. Plus Derby are basically a point behind now. We were 15 points ahead of them at one point. I’d love to see Edmundson come back in. We’ve gone backwards since his omission. Burgess has been ok but he’s so basic. Broadhead must start. It’s going to take some run now which I don’t think we are capable of.
what excuses today then, obviously fog to start with on 17:12 - Jan 21 with 2104 views | J2BLUE | Fog definitely didn't help but it's like the Leicester game in the snow, you have to adapt better than the opposition. We didn't. We should have been shooting on sight from around the box. That game was made for a more direct style of play. Something McKenna seems reluctant to do.

Teams exactly know what to expect from us. We offer no element of surprise whatsoever. Wycombe away was a perfect example. Ainsworth knew very well how we were gonna approach it. Millions of passes and that's it. Oxford away last season and their late equaliser, today 10 months later Oxford away again and our defending is still awful.

Oddly our defence wasn't dreadful at the end of last season. From this corresponding weekend to the end of the season, we conceded ten goals in 20 games. For a portion of those matches, three of the four which played today started then. For the other portion, it was Edmundson ahead of Burgess. Is it lack of form? Is it something about our tactical shape which is leading to them being exposed? Something isn't right, certainly.

what excuses today then, obviously fog to start with on 18:18 - Jan 21 with 1786 views | TheBoyBlue | Something about us being a season behind Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday. Next season we'll be a season behind Derby and Bolton. And the season after we'll be a season behind whatever basket cases of clubs have managed to turn themselves round faster than we have.

what excuses today then, obviously fog to start with on 18:19 - Jan 21 with 1774 views | itfcjoe | We didn’t play particularly well but created 6 ‘big chances’ and missed them all. They created none, but yet again the keeper doesn’t do anything to help us in those tight games and we lose on every fine margins game we have (whether that means losing or drawing when we should win)

Not dreadful but not good either. It had got considerably worse following Edmundson's injury last March. Something isn't right? That would be this manager's lack of ability to rectify things. All three Donacien, Woolfenden and Burgess have been poor/complacent for a while. Would drop 2 of these 3 for the Morecambe game.

Morecambe team talk: Don’t worry about possession. They can’t hurt us with that. Just hang in there and you’ll get your chance for a point, maybe more. They’ve not won a game for a month and really aren’t up to much.

Clarke is here to replace Donacien and we need to get Edmundson back in for Burgess Burgess is fine, and he may just be unlucky, but does seem when he’s involved the ball ends up in the back of net more often than anyone else - Fleetwood, Wycombe, Plymouth, today

Any idea why Edmundson's not appearing - is it purely injury, or is he out of favour for some reason - or a combination of both?
