If we fail to go up this season on 22:05 - Jan 21 by Linners | I still think you could make an argument for him to carry on (it took Burley 5 seasons, albeit a different league) but I don't think I'd try too hard to make that argument personally and I couldn't really argue if they gave him the push. |
I think the Burley was in a different situation - financially we didn't have that much of an upper hand and there were a lot of teams around us with similar expecations. Plus he had to rebuild the team from scratch after a hideous Premier League campaign; Cook had done most of that this time around before McKenna came in.

He's been brilliant and is changing the culture of the club. He's a young manager who is still learning. The whole point of his appointment was to go for a young and gifted coach who could grow as the club gets back on its feet. I thought the booing at the end was poor really. We're having a very good season but going through a rough patch. Need our support.

If we fail to go up this season on 22:49 - Jan 21 with 700 views | TheBoyBlue | I don't believe we'll sack him and if we don't go up I don't imagine anyone will be interested in him. And I don't get the impression that he's a quitter. So on that basis I hope yes.

If we fail to go up this season on 20:57 - Jan 21 by ringwoodblue | Yes I think McK should and will stay on next season but if we don’t get promoted, I’m more worried about the players we might lose rather than the manager. I imagine the best players we’ve signed (like Walton, Davis, Morsy, Broadhead and Chaplin) agreed to come here on the basis of getting promoted this season but will they accept another year or more of their career playing in Lg1 obscurity? I don’t think they will. |
In that case they’d better pull their collective fingers out then hadn’t they…..?

Mick, Lambert, Cook, Jewell, Keane never did. Neither did Jim, Duncan, Ferguson or JR come to that. George did to an extent. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Royle generally had a habit of sorting out whatever problems we were having at half time and got more out of the side, there's a side I suspect which would score late goals, simply because we scored a tonne of them Obviously we shipped a load too! I can remember him randomly playing a 352 at Wolves and we were pap McKenna has a decent squad of technical players, in comparison to Plymouth and I suspect Wednesday, we are less able to physically mix it Plymouth were a big athletic side, as Wednesday will be
