Broadhead 12:09 - Jan 26 with 2896 viewsFrimleyBlue

Just watched the latest town video.

Made me think... does anyone remember if he actually had a shot on Tues that wasn't actually on target?

I expect he was thinking about Broadhead's level of skill and accuracy. No need to pitch in like that, especially as you've said that you don't know, and therefore can't debate it.

No worries, just seemed to be a bit of a strange question

Yes exactly that.
He had an excellent calmness about him and seemed to automatically take that perfect extra touch to gain a yard

Fotmob gives him three shots - all on target - https://www.fotmob.com/match/3916117/matchfacts/player-match-card/760329

FBRef gives him five with three on target - the difference is possibly blocks close to the player that one might classify as a shot and another not - https://fbref.com/en/players/43309491/Nathan-Broadhead

He certainly looked sharp and they were well placed with power

He really does look like a natural goal scorer. I'm excited to see more of him.

Dont think so
Good to see them on target and a very good full debut from him, and Clarke
The one to the top left of the keeper could perhaps have been harder hit and more in the corner, if I'm being picky, but hitting the target is the most important thing

Really impressed by everything about him on Tuesday, especially his ability to get a shot in and the power he has. 2 great saves to deny him a home debut goal.

I said in another thread that having him and Chaplin improves Chaplin's play because he can concentrate on being in and around the box a little more rather than trying to be the progressive passer.

Broadhead looks quality for this level. As does Clarke.

I think the fact that we are now more balanced on both flanks is a huge bonus and gives teams more problems.

Pretty sure he worked the keeper with all his efforts (3?)..Thought his link up was pretty good, too, considering he hasn't had much time with his team mates.. Nice kind of game for both Broadhead and Clarke to make full home debuts. But you get the feeling that both will step up against better oppo.

As soon as the news broke of our interest in Broadhead, I asked my Sunderland supporting best mate. He said that Broadhead's left foot is superb, consistently sweet accurate striking. As long as we can keep him fit, we have a diamond.

"As long as we can keep him fit".

Well, that's comforting...

It's been his only shortcoming, staying injury-free. We all knew that. But we have a fantastic medical / physio team, and we also have great squad depth. Its putting players on the pitch when they aren't fully fit that causes problems, something we have already shown we don't need to do.

Think with Harness, Aluko, Edwards in the building, there's plenty of scope to manage Broadheads fitness/minutes..From what some people have said, he got flogged a bit and rushed back too early from injury whilst at Sunderland. Understandable, as they chased promotion.(And he wasn't their multi million pound investment, to look after)..

the highlights ( I didn't go ) made me think he will score an absolute sh ton of goals.
