Wednesday v Plymouth next week then… 20:42 - Jan 26 with 4457 viewsbrazil1981

What would be best result for us? Draw would be the obvious answer, however they would probably both be happy with that result as well? Maybe better for us for one of them to take a hit and lose 3 points, maybe triggering a ‘blip’?

Would be immaterial if we don’t beat Cambridge of course!

Wednesday win, they are the stronger side.

Plymouth to go on a bad run and to drop into play off pack.... with Derby replacing them!

Utterly irrelevant whatever the result. Both are capable of dropping points every match - not just when they play each other.

Sheff Weds will win and I think there is a fair chance they may disappear over the horizon, they have a real Rotherham (when they were good) look about them.

If we can get to within four points of Plymouth and, at very least, stay there for a while then I would fancy us to take them eventually.

Thought about the Rotherham comparison the other day when I looked up Wednesday's results and saw they've only conceded two goals in the league since October with a fair few 1-0 and 2-0 results in that period. Doing a very very good job of holding teams at arm's length.

We've just got to do what we can do and hope it's enough. Agree Plymouth are potentially more 'catchable' in the long run but will need to have their momentum checked at some point, quite possibly by Wednesday.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I never thought I’d say this…but I agree with you!

A draw I think but I am still concerned about Derby. On a great run and they have 4 home games in Feb and most of their fixtures are against bottom half teams. Only tricky fixture would appear to be away to Barnsley. They are 4 pts behind us with a game in hand. We slip up at all, it easily becomes a 4 horse race, much more unpredictable.

A draw.

In the short term, a Wednesday win. But in the long run I think Wednesday will relentlessly go on whereas Plymouth will start to drop mpoints.

All imo of course.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over
