I found myself randomly looking at a Huddersfield forum tonight and, not surprisingly, a lot of their fans have Marcus Stewart profile pics.

I wonder if ITFC could arrange a friendly with Huddersfield this summer, no matter what leagues we're both in, and have the money go to MND charities?

Why don't you suggest this to the club? It's a fine idea.

Could have a supporters match?

Or a Pre Season tournament/cup over a weekend with us, Huddersfield, Sunderland and Bristol City? Would be a nice touch for all involved

I don’t think Bristol City should be involved!

Just invite Norwich, Barnsley and Newcastle whilst you’re at it!

Bristol Rovers wasn’t he? Either way a round robin tourney in honour of him would be fantastic.

I don’t know if it’s relevant , but a year or two ago Huddersfield based part of their pre-season training at the Colchester training ground in Tiptree.

(I think the idea is magnificent , and in the first instance Town should ask if they can visit Huddersfield for a game)

He played for Bristol Rovers and was a stand-out player that attracted Huddersfield to buy him.
His heart is with Bristol City as he and his family were/are City supporters.
Him signing for City at the end of his career was a local boy coming home story in the Bristol local paper.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Not forgetting that Marcus Stewart's first career goal came for Rovers against us in that opening day 3-3 draw in the 91/92 season, I believe.

Lovely idea with any or all of the teams in some shape or form.

18 years old Marcus and lots of hair. Won a penalty, too. Lovely limbs in that away end. Just think, some lucky Town fans might have seen this 3-3 and the 4-4 at Ch*rl*o*.

Should be a summer tournament. The two Brizzle teams, Sunderland, Huddersfield, Exeter and ourselves.

Maybe a mini youth tournament.

Who can forget the commentary in the ZDS Cup match at Rovers later that season? "Super Duper David"!
