What was The Black Adder pub like in Ipswich? on 16:50 - Feb 2 with 4738 views | gainsboroughblue | It was one of my go to pubs from the promotion season onwards. Definitely one of my favourite pubs in the town. People who run it now are really friendly too. Was also called the Toad and Raspberry.

he bankrupted himself, that part I agree with...whether running the Bl'adder was the whole cause is more debateable, it was classic ex footballer running a pub and not having a clue how to run their finances or a business properly. he blamed Town getting relegated for halving his takings, the inland revenue wound up his company over unpaid tax bills, he had a failed property venture that sunk alot of his money, the builder who did some of the work in the pub had to sue him to get paid, he owed the council money too.
