I blame an Oxford education.

Virtually every Prime Minister we've had since the war was educated at Oxford, and just look at where that has got us.

I like her sentiment that she wasn’t given time and support by her own MP’s.

It is a shame the left wing establishment and her party sacked her Chancellor. If only he had of been given more time….

It’s nice that the left wing of the party has been causing chaos for a change. For the last goodness knows how many years it’s been the right.

Listening to Truss is reminiscent of hearing Thatcher. Not really sure of what she is saying, but dead earnest about. A useful 'front women'

She strays into Goebbels territory qith the big lie about growth. The idea that there is some dark force wanting to stop the economy from growing, and only this 'growth' policy will deliever growth. Not much more that the big lie of brexit.

the idea that a policy of heaping piles of new regulation and cost on exports helps the economy is patent nonsense. Just as is blocking the the very workers needed for any expansion.

No, what Truss is wheeled out to say is that it is the removal of costly regulation (standards) that hampers business. And yes she has a point. If industry is not obliged to fund sick pay, holidays maternety pay etc it will be able to produce at a lower cost - hence brexit

Unfortunately that falls part when you compare the UK to comparable countries, where tax is higher. Tax is a charge on the profits of business, NOT employees. However business will not flourish when the infrastraucture is failing. Workers will not work in 'scummy' areas.

Over the past 13 years we have seen what failing to invest does to the country. If businesses are successful in Scandinavian countries where social benefits are higher then why dioes anyone thing heading off down the road to a Bangladesh style economy would work.

The big lie also talks of higher wages, where we are actually seeing the opposite More in employment has merely meant a higher percentage in part time work. Dragging through the sick, the disabled and mentally unwell, like some Volksturm of 1945, will not cause companies to stay in the UK. It is a very false economy, as we saw under Marcus Evans, where money is now being spent to put right the years of neglect.

Truss is serving us well, by bringing this nonsense to the fore, yet again. However she needs to be rigorously challenged, not dismiseed as some useful idiot spouting stuff she does not really understand. Go beyond the cretinist slogans.

I doubt we will, as that would not be fair ..... the intelectual, woke lefty, toffee munching, metropolitan elite using facts and evidence, again.

We need more believe Truss will tell the deranged watching at home. Belief, that's it

Mad or bad ?

Who then poses a greater threat to society ?

Both in the public eye this weekend, Mr Gadd or Miss Truss ?

when you think the financial markets are the 'left-wing establishment' there's really no hope for you.

In fairness, the “left-wing” bit seems to have been added by one of the feckwit headline writers at the Telegraph. She’s still utterly deluded though. And comes across as incredibly thick. But then ideologically fanatical people often do, as they can’t do reason or logic if reality challenges their views.

A good piece, however, overlooks the obvious point.

What else could she say ? Judge me on my policies.... actions ? Of course not

So she is obliged to push the narrative that what she stood for is correct but was thwarted by some knavish skullduggery by that group of people, entities. Never defined but are well known to those who will believe the tosh she is spouting.

However t is not so much the policies they are being asked to believe in, but her. Someone who is on their side against that bogeyman - one who changes with each new problem. Johnson peddled the same myth. Using the language he thought lesser types used... piccanninies, tanktoi#pped bum boys, letterboxes etc Once you have convinced them you are on their side, you share their fears then the rest is easy.

One of the defining books I read was drawn from the thoughts of those who had accepted the Nazis. Every small but incremental change was accepted because dear old Adolph was one of them. on their side. Of course by the time it was too late, the cities had been flattened and millions killed.

Johnson and Fartrage peddled much the same line. Agree with whatever bigotted and ill informed prejudice then ignore the promises made. They can be countered by filling their silly heads with empty slogans to bleat out. 'Take back control, project fear, get Brexit done', Trump did much the same 'built the wall, drain the swamp, Lock ehr up'....all this was known, when Orwell wrote Animal Farm... four legs good. There is nothing new, other than the supply of empty heads to fill.

It is not about what is accurate, but what works. Convince them you are on their side and they will accept pretty much anything.

Now watch as Truss talks about 'you know I am right'. Think what lies behind that.

Both Johnson and Truss are pushing this line that their way was better but they were thwarted by them pesky whatstheirnames.
This undermines Sunak as he is doing it his way and definitely not their way.
What is the Truss endgame and Johnsons endgame too?
Do they want the PM job again? If so, they've misread the nation who think that both need to leave the tent with the words 'I'm just going outside. I might be gone for some time'.
