No where without winning games. But that seems to be ok on this forum.

For people of yours and my generation it is truly tragic to see so many Ipswich fans think failure is a form of success.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

There's no point turning up for any more games this season is there? Might as well just fold the club now and live the rest of our lives in misery.

No that’s not what I’m saying.
Today was a failure like many recent results. Yet many town fans think “ok yep take that we move on” as if they’re satisfied or even happy.

for me, I just feel 'meh' about it all now, can't even be bothered to moan about anything. For me, we're a side who should be doing better, we aren't, nothing any of us can do about it, just have to sit, take it in, and carry on wishing it was better.

No one is turning on anyone, it’s some fans acceptance of poor results that irks me and almost enables the softly softly nature of this club sometimes. We have been HEAVILY backed now and had ourselves in a strong position. We should be expecting better results in our 4th year in the third division. This was a three horse race remember and now we are looking over our shoulder. We have not beaten Wednesday or Plymouth over four games and we are still mentally fragile.

The form table should alarm you even if there was some positives to take from today. It was actually a must win. The “I’m fine with it” attitude and always trying to throw a positive spin on the results makes us seem like lovable losers.

Should be demanding more at this point.

It’s not lazy rubbish, people are saying they’ll take it and are relived with the result in a must win game. You assume correct, I live 5000 miles away but I go when I’m back in the country.

It was a disappointing result even if there was some positives to come back against a good side. I also thought Broadhead looks like a very decent player. We just can’t seem to win these big games, which concerns me.

" ..some fans acceptance of poor results". "“The I’m fine with it” attitude"

I literally haven't seen a single instance of either of those.

You seem to be conflating "accepting poor results" with people having a (season-long) perspective.

I’m not. Just look at the title of this thread!

The season perspective should be the anticipation that we are challenging for automatic promotion IMO. I think people have been so used to having nothing to get excited about in the best part of two decades, that anything is fine now.

I’m just highly disappointed we have fallen out of the automatic race with where we were 8 weeks ago. Not winning big games and being fragile doesn’t bode that well to me if we make the playoffs. Hopefully we hit some form soon and can turn it around.

I agree with this to the point of pain... it honestly wigs me out....

This team is underperforming, massively - we've taken 3 points from the top 2 this season; a top 2 we should be in...

We've a transfer budget way higher than 2/3rds of the teams in the Championship, never mind L1...

.. and everyone lining up, nodding their heads, because this team plays with rather more cohesion and purpose than under the 3 previous utter, utter clowns - and yet, still, we underperform.

'We're building something here'/ 'the winning run will start soon'/ 'we don't need to fear anyone in the playoffs'.... so much deflection, so many excuses, so little scrutiny of why we're not performing.

I like McKenna, he's intelligent, he's trying to do the right thing - but Jesus Christ, man, every game follows the same pattern. We boss possession, fail to take chances, and defend like arseholes. Every single game!

The title of this thread is absolutely fine in context & shows perspective.

As i just said elsewhere, you seem to have forgotten or not known that before today, the Owls had not conceded a single goal in their last 5 league games, ie since Boxing Day.

I suggest you try to acquire some perspective, including where we are today compared with where we were for the last 13 years under Evans.

We scored our goals after the fans started slating them, done f all when they had the support at the start and end of the game. Maybe we should batter them from minute 1.
