But didn’t Plymouth drop points to a bottom half team today? As the end of the season draws closer it matters little whether your oppo is near the top or near the bottom, everyone is scraping for something.
8 points on 18:51 - Feb 18 with 1289 views | strikalite | It could be, nobody expected Plymouth to slip up today and as said they have tough games coming up.. Also, we only have two midweek games now until the end of the season, both those are at home too against Accrington and Port Vale... You never know..
8 points on 19:03 - Feb 18 with 1245 views | ArnieM | IF we can play like we did today over the next 5 games, and Plymouth ( look at their next 5 games ) do as they did today …. I’d say 8 points is very much doable . Actually it’s only 6 points isn’t it ! [Post edited 18 Feb 2023 19:26]

It'll make the remaining games far less stressful for me!

8 points on 17:02 - Feb 25 with 818 views | GlasgowBlue | 5 points now. Had the Plymouth v Posh game down as a draw. So that’s a bonus. I’d like to see them take a point from Barnsley though. Down to us to take care of our own business. Onwards and upwards.

Still a humongous ask considering how Plymouth have been going and how we've been going. But yeah, of course it's still doable. But only just. With a bit of luck, Plymouth's confidence will now be shot and they'll lose all of their remaining games.

Yep, one game at a time, as they say.... Feel we'll have to up it in other away games at Barnsley, Derby , Bolton and Posh.. But we are well capable of doing so,,

8 points on 17:59 - Feb 18 by GlasgowBlue | Yeah. I can see 4 points for Plymouth there (I’m being optimistic) and 9 for us. That could cut it to 3. Although a Derby win isn’t ideal for us. So maybe 5 for Plymouth and 9 for us would be the optimum outcome. [Post edited 18 Feb 2023 18:04]

Would be happier to see Derby beat Plymouth after Derby's defeat today. Ultimately it is still down to us. It is the hope that kills you.

5 points in 15 games? Slightly more likely than 8 in 16. Now we have 2 home games, Burton and Accrington. We should be putting them to the sword and keep making Plymouth look over their shoulders.

The logic usually is that a mid-table team is better than either one fighting relegation or going for promotion. But even then, sometimes the pressure being off allows a team to play and cause a surprise.

Seems like Barnsley might actually be the bigger worry right now.

Bolton play midweek and could go within 3 points of plymouth, albeit having played more games.

I still believe that if we do enough to catch Plymouth, we won't need to worry about Barnsley. Bolton and Barnsley both away next month are going to be very tricky games, mind. A point from each would be good results as long as that is enough to catch Plymouth.
