So we have to believe that Sue Gray has falsified all those comments (just released) in order to provide evidence that others at Number 10 were concerned.

You might think that maybe one person might speak up and state that they did not say what she is claiming.

The suggesting being made is that Sue Gray had already been 'tapped up' for a job with Labour over two years ago, BEFORE her report was drafted.

So why would Labour risk discrediting that report by appointing her, if such claims could be shown to be true ?

And given the amount of evidence coming out there is no need of her report, as err...........if there was not, then there would not be any need for, nor point to, this privileges committee investigation

Unsurprisingly the Tory whining is being led by none other than Rees-Mogg, a man with a long history of being on the wrong side of truth - check out how he fcked up with the former MP, Paterson

I heard that not only did she deliver all that booze to number 10, take the photos and propose the toasts but she pissed in Boris' trousers whilst he was sleeping it off as well.

'publican' ?

"Boris Johnson’s own communications chief admitted there was a "great gaping hole" in the prime minister’s account of Partygate, explosive new evidence shows.

He wrote last January, in relation to a June 2020 gathering: “I’m struggling to come up with a way this one is in the rules in my head.”

So we have to assume, according to the stick-insect that this chap did not say this, and it was fabricated by Sue Gray who somehow knew Labour would offer her a job some time in the future.

Mind you, if she can convince all the witnesses in this investigation to guve false testament then she must be one helluva person. As she would have to be certain that not one, out of the many dozen, would deny the particular bit of evidence attributed to them - and so discredit the whole investigation.

Rees-Mogg, a true Daily Mailer, where even the most basic of reasoned thought is never pursued. Something which suits it's readers. Simple answers for simple folk, and none of that rational argument stuff either.

I can see why Starmer wants her. She is clearly a time traveller running a political version of Biff with the Sports Almanac.

All of the stuff she didn't find out through evidence and therefore must have just completely made up about the Tories happened to incredibly be supported by documentary evidence some time later and even lead to Tory admissions and heart-hearted apologies.

Brilliantly Rees-Mogg championed how independent she was when it helped him, right up until it helped him to claim the exact opposite.

The best defence, a quarter of million of our money spaffed up against the wall on lawyers, is

"I was not bright enough to understand the advice I was given"

However, “those who were advising Mr Johnson about what to say to the press and in the House were themselves struggling to contend that some gatherings were within the rules”.

So even those telling fatboy what to say in Parliament did not believe him

and

"The report said: “The evidence strongly suggests that breaches of guidance would have been obvious to Mr Johnson at the time he was at the gatherings.”

Whereas fatboy is claiming that he did not understand the rules he spouted nightly at 5pm. Rules that tens of millions of mere mortals did understand

The real integrity to be brought into question here is not that of Sue Gray, but the bloaters. Anyone with an ounce of self worth would resign, and not try to brazen it out. Not do, as so many other Tories have done, and try to cling on hoping the public is too stupid to understand.

Well fatboy, we are not all brexiters. Far from it

So why not do the honourable thing for once in your life, resign, waddle off into the sunset and lets be rid of you.

She's got skills.

Tories suddenly concerned about "integrity"!!!!!!!! on 16:18 - Mar 3 with 1292 viewsHARRY10

It just gets more desperate by the hour as

"The privileges committee has today admitted its key witness is none other than Sue Gray, Keir Starmer’s chief of staff … This is a farce. " Peter Bone(head) MP

The photos just released are damming enough without any written or oral evidence, see

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2023/mar/03/labour-sue-gray-keir-starm

However, let's run with this idiocy, and agree that Sue Gray was in the pay of Labour all the time. Did she stage those photos ? Is the evidence from identified Number 10 staff not their words, but actually written or stated by Sue Gray instead?

If so, why hasn't even one of those who worked at Number 10 not pointed out they did not make those comments ?

For those who struggle to understand the stupidity behind those who fell for the brexit scam, then watch these total eejits failing to grasp the reality of this situation.

I wonder how much she paid that staffer to lie about taking a suitcase out to take booze back to number 10. Co-opting the protection police in on that lie as well.

So lets remove Sue Gray's report from the investigation, and then what do we have......

...... apart from those photos, the comments made since, and whatever comes out in the questioning sessions.

And therein lies the stupidity of righties. An inability to think things through, even to the next level.

I cannot see any problem with regard to Sue Gray, providing she obeys the protocols. The work she did digging out Johnson and his lies have nothing whatever to do with what she does next.

Johnson did what he did. The rules his people brought in were applicable only to the plebs. He and his crowd were above all that in his world. They could have appointed anyone bar Johnson and his odious arrogant cronies and the outcome would have been the same.

Trying to defend himself and deflect what he did with this kind of childish line is pathetic. But then he is pathetic. If she wants to work for Starmer, Attila the Hun or Putin next, that’s her business, her career. Nothing to do with him or his flagrant abuse of his position.

Trying to get my head round this.
It seems that Sue Gray taking the Labour position makes her last role open to calls of bias and therefore rubbishes the job she did.
This article from 2021 tells of 50 former Tory ministers who took a job that shows the standards they were expected to adhere to was ignored ie. don't take a lobbying job so soon after ceasing to be a minister.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/nov/15/half-of-tory-ex-ministers-take-

If you mean mistake, then no it is not a mistake - unless it can be shown that Sue Gray knew she was taking a job at the time of her investigation

Remove her report from the priviliges committee and you still have the photos, many released today, and the damning comments of number 10 staff - with more evidence to come once the questioning in front of the camera begins.

Folk will note that the only ones squeaking about some supposed 'fix' are a handful of the 'hard of thinking' ... Dorries, Bone, Rees-Mogg. The rest know the bloater has been shown to have lied to Parliament.

"A spokesperson for the privileges committee dismissed Johnson’s arguments, saying the findings were “not based on the Sue Gray report” but on witness accounts and evidence supplied by the government

A committee that has a Tory majority, or are they in on this supposed 'fix' as well ?

What is not a good look are those photos which show the distancing rules being clearly broken ... numerous rimes

And what will not be a good look either is the bloater trying to cling on when the evidence against is so clear. He should resign as an MP. Which is the least he can do, instead of hanging around whining and trying to blame others, as usual.

Odd how Rees-Mogg and others were praising her, her integrity, independence etc after she published her report in Jan 2022.

Perhaps it was those very qualities that Starmer saw as being a necessary part, in what will be a long battle to get back voters trust in political.

Meanwhile, just as Sunak thinks he has something to be pleased about the bloaters corrupt and incompetent time as PM is set to take all the headlines, yet again

It used to be a glass of whisky left in the study. But that was in the days when principles mattered. It will take a hefty bribe I fear to be rid of the ever greedy gutbucket.

"It will take a hefty bribe I fear to be rid of the ever greedy gutbucket."

I don't think so.
Johnson is on the outside.
Sunak has Grays report and has access to all sorts of 'confidences' spoken in hushed rooms. He's the PM and there are those who would like to curry favour with him in order to get that GCMG to add to their KCMG and they will tell-tale if it suits them.
Johnson can't give anything to anybody as he has no position and no money.
There are those who can embarrass Johnson - even more than Johnson can embarrass himself.
Johnson has too many skeletons in too many closets.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Speaking as a former civil servant who had political neutrality drummed into me, my concern is with the propriety of a senior civil servant accepting a political appointment whilst effectively still a civil servant.

And the fact that the Tories have no understanding of propriety, doesn't to my mind justify what she and Starmer have done.

The problem it seems to me is the increasing blurring of the distinction between the public, private and political sectors in the last 30 years, and this appointment merely blurs things even further.
