Only solution is to relegate them immediately and replace them with the top three from League One.

Are Wigan in another financial mess? on 10:09 - Mar 21 with 1230 views | wkj | This isn't a Marcus Evans love letter, but I am somewhat thankful he was more pragmatic with money than some. However, of course, what he did spend early on really didn't yield any return on investment and his team spunked so much cash down the drain by being atrocious with contract renews and free releases. One second though, I take it all back - We dropped more points under Evans then an EFL pointes deduction. Booo! Should have just deleted this post. But no. I hit add reply anyway. *wipes nose*

Are Wigan in another financial mess? on 11:59 - Mar 21 with 1127 views | bournemouthblue | I get the impression CoVid has hit the Championship clubs particularly hard this season and it might be why the league appears to be weaker than normal I've no doubt if we can get back up there, we'll be very competitive in it

“Let's be brutally honest, if you look at the Championship, everyone knows every club is running as tight as they can to the wire because the reality is the amount you invest into the first team makes results. "Normally, the ones that spend the most get promoted.” Says it all, doesn’t it? Then it’s a case of gain promotion or collapse.

Not only covid but have you seen the attendances in the championship. When ever you watch highlights or live games there are thousands of empty seats.

Man City can't fill Main Rd or wherever they play these days half the time so God knows how how anyone expects to fill a stadium with PNE comming to town. The guy that owns Sheff U spent how much in court to keep hold of a club he's running into the ground. What I like about our Americans is they do understand the need for bums on seats and are working to make GPR as nice a place to spend Sat afternoon as possible.

Indeed - I’m sure this has been posted before, but for those who’ve not seen it a great article: https://theathletic-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/theathletic.com/4211849/2023/02/2 Certainly the business plan of buying a club and building the fanbase, asset values, and getting the team ip the footballing pyramid, is more appealing than the ‘brutal oligarch plaything’, and “rich businessman writing off tax liabilities’ models.

I'm further Intrigued by Ashtons talks of working with stockholders of sites around PR. We've seen the purchase of the old Staples building.. wonder what other plans there are in the other areas.
