Went to the showdown on Saturday - Saracens Vs Harlequins 15:25 - Mar 27 with 1615 views | Jimmy86 | First of all, got to say the Tottenham Hotspur stadium is absolutely amazing! Must be 1 of the top venues in the world... Looked every bit the billion pound stadium it is... Great game of rugby, which I'm also glad I recorded on ITV to watch back, when sober... When watching it back they said on commentary that Alex Goode, Saracens record appearance maker, was in our academy as a youngster... Literally had no clue he used to play footy for us!!

And more recently, Tyreece Simpson chose to pursue football, as opposed to rugby, having been offered a contract by Leicester Tigers... On a side note, saw Tyreece in Stowmarket Pure Gym last week... Knew it was him, as he was wearing his Swindon Black out 3rd shirt from his loan spell last season, with number 9 and Simpson on the back... I mean who, as a pro footballer, wears their own match shirt to the gym... People did say he had a big ego... Would appear so.. hasn't exactly hit the heights at Huddersfield

Even she was impressed by the stadium, although I'm not sure she followed what was going on on the pitch very well.

Think a few people would be surprised if they ever sat down with Tyreece. Not to psycho analyse the bloke but I think he's someone who wants to feel wanted, some of that probably stems way back but not my place to talk about that. He clearly didn't get that or at least feel like he was getting that at Ipswich. Not saying the club got it wrong btw, in his case I've said it before, he's very raw as a footballer IMO. Physically he's got a lot in his locker but technically I've never been entirely convinced that he has what it takes to deliver a level of consistency needed further up the pyramid. I didn't lose any sleep when he left, I would be very surprised if he ever amounts to anything more than a lower league forward, but time will tell on that. Hasn't got going at Huddersfield yet as you say and injuries haven't been kind to him. Perhaps relegation for them might be a blessing for him, more likely to get more opportunities in L1 if his face fits with a new manager.

Having seen him in the gym he also wasn't as big as what I thought he was, didn't speak to him, as was cracking on with my own work out... I'd also never hammer the guy, as MH is a big thing these days and hey, we all want to be wanted too, that's human nature...maybe he'd have been better suited to rugby as opposed to footy, as rugby is more based on size and physicality, yes technical skills at pro level are needed.. Watching that game was such a good craic...you can take your pint to your seat, no segregation... Not tribal like footy and they even had someone hold the door open for you when you went from the bar to the middle tier to then find your seat... As a venue it really was brilliant

As was yasmin, along with your daughter. She even got spotted on the big screen too… amongst over 900 of them in the sea of red T-shirts! A 55,000 crowd, Beavertown beer in hand… only downside for me was being on the 5th level and taking the stairs… First visit to the stadium for me, and very impressive.

Considering a potential other side to this... I'd suggest he's hardly on big bucks at Huddersfield, and is probably mindful of the fact that whatever he is earning will have to, in part, form a basis of sustaining himself post-35. If I was in that sort of position, and had my own cache of pro-level fitness gear that I'd been given for free, I'd probably rather use that than spend my own money on the same sort of kit. You talk far too much sense for this forum CB. A very balanced sensible views on TS and ones I echo having spoken to a few from his time at Langley (my old school). Definitely one that needs to feel a bit of love and appreciation. In my opinion he'd thrive as the big fish in a little pond, i.e L2 or national league level, as opposed to being a smaller fish in a bigger pond at L1 or above.
