I meant to ask earlier in the week, but I'm going there this weekend and wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

Two days may not be long enough given there seems to be plenty there and we already have a few of the museums lined up but TWTD is always good for stuff like this.

Might as well, they won't be able to afford to go to the pub.

By all accounts you don't like it at first. But after staying a while it starts to grow on you, and in the end you love it and never want to leave.

The Vasa museum certainly, and another vote for Skansen. Maybe take in an Allsvenskan game, Hammarby are playing at home on the Sunday.

Went there about 20 years ago. Spendreps was on tap I believe. Was minus 15 when we were there and we were all walking around in short sleeveshirts

I meant to come back on this thread last week, in case anyone was interested.

We really enjoyed Stockholm, it was cold (one night especially) but mainly clear and we walked miles.

The Vasa Museum is truly outstanding, fascinating and thought-provoking:

Also, ate here which was really good: https://martentrotzig.se/en/

and drunk far too much expensive beer in the Mikkeller bar close to where we were staying on Sodermalm.

Another vote for the Vasa Museet mate.

It’s the standout.

Unlike any other museum you will ever visit.

Similarly, much as I love them, the ABBA Museum is a waste of money.

Great country. Wonderful people.

Have a lovely time.

Agree with others - the Vasa Museum is outstanding - like the Mary Rose but all of it !!
