ITFC on smart TV 09:59 - Apr 1 with 2606 viewsTaylor1

Hi all. Does anyone know how to watch ITFC on a smart TV? Can you download an ifollow app on the TV, or screen mirror from another device? Would it only be possible by subscribing to a VPN? Thanks in advance!

I have a Chrome Cast and can cast from the ifollow site on my computer although not from the app on the phone.

However, the picture is of a poorer standard then my computer so I don't bother.

I have my computer hooked up to TVs but screen mirroring probably is possible, it's just fiddler than it should be

I bought an HDMI to USB-C cable recently, my old Huawei phone had this feature but my newer phone didn't, some apps may block the feature too

If you went straight from the website, it may not be such a problem, Chromecasting mentioned above would erase the need for the cable but you'll need two devices which support the feature, why they don't have this feature on iFollow is anyone's guess

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Best bet is to HDMI it from a laptop. Mad that they've haven't developed an app for smart TVs really.

You are not really supposed to be able to watch it on a TV, which is why screen sharing is blocked in the apps. Watching it directly on the Towns website is s bit of a loophole that hasn't been closed yet

How is it a loophole? There's the ban on showing 3pm Saturday kick offs on TV in the UK but that also applies to streaming services like iFollow. They are only allowed to broadcast Saturday 3pm kick offs outside the UK.

Why is the screen size a 'loophole', if they're streaming games out, you're allowed to watch it on whatever screen you see fit?

Well quite, that's my thinking too. Live streaming falls under the umbrella of broadcasting I think so no different to it being on TV, hence the restrictions on Saturday 3pm kick offs in the UK.

What is the optimal solution?

VPN to laptop. Laptop to TV via HDMI?

I know that was then, but it could be again..
