Chappers penalty shout...? 13:52 - Apr 3 with 1763 views | BigCommon | Anyone get a decent view of it? Didn't see much reaction from Town players, apart from CC...But it looked nailed on to me. Wondering if we're under orders to keep it all calm on the pitch, especially after that little passage of play at Bolton, that led to their penalty, when 1 or 2 lost concentration... Anyway, all I'm hearing from Derby fans and Derby media is about their disallowed goal . As if they've lost through a poor ref decision.. I actually thought, on another day, with another ref, Cashin could have been red carded after 3 minutes for that forearm smash into Wes. And we could have gotten a pen, too.. Obviously, getting the 3pts papers over anything that didn't go our way. But another couple of big 50:50s that went against us, imo.
Chappers penalty shout...? on 14:03 - Apr 3 with 1686 views | Guthrum | For that matter, them getting an equaliser does not mean our second goal wouldn't have happened. Which would still have been a 1 - 2 away win to us.

Chappers penalty shout...? on 14:16 - Apr 3 with 1628 views | RobTheMonk | Agree with Cashin. Looked like a borderline red and lucky not to injure Burns. There were instances for both Teams where players went down 'theatrically'. If it's not a foul, then you'd expect yellows for diving. The ref was odd.
Chappers penalty shout...? on 15:11 - Apr 3 with 1482 views | Scuzzer | CC penalty happened right in front of me. Definitely contact made but it was the way CC launched himself that may have persuaded the referee that he was looking for it. If he had stumbled and fell it would have looked more convincing. I think the Derby fans initially were thinking it was a penalty but once the ref didn't give it then they were all over CC...they don't use polite language do they! They were really annoyed with the time wasting going on by our lads. Even I agree that there was no need for it. Their disallowed goal...I couldn't see much wrong with it...but I was a long way away from it. After the game some were saying that the officials had said that they had got it wrong going down the tunnel after the match. Must say their ground is very impressive with good access all around. Very good pre match build up with their crowd being wound up...they responded pretty well but once we scored they all went very quiet and then started slagging their players off. Didzy is still a god to them though...didnt moan at him...he is still a class player. Brilliant weekend allround.

Chappers penalty shout...? on 15:49 - Apr 3 with 1399 views | Kropotkin123 | Ifollow was a good view. Blue tinted glasses it was a penalty, a trip. But at the time I was saying a neutral would likely see it as Chaplin running across the defender and causing the contact. Others held similar opinions. Also felt that another ref would have given it, and with the crowd on his back maybe this ref would have given it for Derby. Cashin should have been a red, as should have been the one on Harness too. Derby got outplayed more than a lot of their fans realise. We opted to soak up pressure and hit them on the counter. It looked like we could go through the gears when we wanted. Looked like he was trying to buy a penalty, which wasn’t helped by the theatrical nature of his fall. I don’t blame the ref for not giving it. If that had been given at the other end I would have been livid. Thought Cashin should have got a red though.

Chappers penalty shout...? on 20:22 - Apr 3 with 1145 views | PhilTWTD | Forsyth told Chaplin he couldn't believe the ref hadn't given it. He made no challenge, just tripped him inadvertently but that's still a penalty.

Don't think he was trying to buy one - went to set his back foot to play a the pull back pass and the Derby play ran into him

I thought cc had a decent chance of a half decent cross n but chose to be to dramatic in his attempt to look for a penalty, I'd preferred he just crossed it, | | | | Login to get fewer ads
