Ref for Saturday 17:44 - Apr 12 with 8212 views | GeoffSentence | is James Bell. He has taken charge of three League One games this season, and sent two people off. One of those was Brendan Galloway of Plymouth in their away game to Portsmouth. The other was Mo Sangare of Accrington in their home game vs Plymouth. Lets hope he is in his anti-plymouth rather than pro-plymouth phase this week.

Ref for Saturday on 11:22 - Apr 13 by PhilTWTD | I'm sure he doesn't. If I were him I'd be asking to be switched. He's been put in an impossible position by PGMOL/EFL. |
probably doesn't but when such comments are posted and there is no way for someone who is not a forum member to interrogate, it just increases scepticism. I hope he asks to be switched as in fairness it puts him in a really awkward position.

Ref for Saturday on 11:40 - Apr 13 by ElderGrizzly | They certainly have an impression of us and must read Frimley's posts quite often :) "So thats refs who are fans of other clubs. - Refs who are scared to disallow goals for fear of stuff being thrown. - Fog - Wet pitches - High winds. - other teams scoring deflections. - that they would walk the championship, but this league doesnt suit their high quality football. - that over 46 games they might struggle but over 1,000 games they would be a country mile clear. - use of mobile phone footage. - Kick off times - the distance they have to travel. - calling games off for international call ups, even though they arent. I must have missed something else, and they say Owls fans are delusional and entitled" |
They still seem a little bitter about their sending off at our place and hold Burns with such high respect. I used to like them over the Blades (we had right ding dongs with them in the past) but how the tides have turned

Of that humour-filled list - Fog was a misstep! We took a punt in the dark when we should have accepted the wasted journey and gone again - Wednesday fans were naughty that day, would have been handled very differently in the PL, but it's the league we're in! - I wish my mobile phone worked in PR these days - The phantom call ups was other clubs blubbing - I imagine we travel in style these days. Been a couple of rubbish away KO journey/time combos for fans though! Wednesday's reasons: - Moore - Darren - players trying to stay in L1 to stay in a job - injuries the like never witnessed by the footballing world - the best squad in L1 has collectively lied on their birth certificates - Darren Moore

Ref for Saturday on 11:12 - Apr 13 by xrayspecs | The Whitlow decision was the one I was not sure about. And he should have sent Warhurst (?) off for man handling a Town player to the ground for the final penalty. The rest were the correct decisions. |
He missed a foul on Johnson in the build up to one of Bolton's goals.

Ref for Saturday on 11:30 - Apr 13 by iamipswich | I'm sure it'll be dressed up by many SW fans as 'oh classic Ipswich whining about the officials again' but the fact of the matter is, if their referee were to be an Ipswich fan, they would absolutely want them changed as would be their right. The notion of him over-compensating to protect his reputation is far too hypothetical and presumptuous and would put the integrity of the title race into question whether he was generous or harsh. |
As long as their ref isn't Will Finnie who is a Town fan. Only kidding! [Post edited 13 Apr 2023 14:58]
