If we play Bristol City next season….. 13:22 - Apr 28 with 1351 viewssmithy69

Obviously don’t want to jump ahead - but if we play Bristol
City next year we need a song for Mark
ashton :)

They have been giving us pelters on a 65 page thread since he left them and it doesn’t look like ending anytime soon

I think a cheery song would go down well :) any ideas

They are a no mark club who were upset he left them for a club in a lower division. It was an embarrassment that so many actually swallowed every word.

We will see the Prem before they will. They really don't deserve our attention.

Truly impaired.

Nope. Don't even acknowledge it.

The fact that thread has been going for as long as it has is utterly ridiculous.

I genuinely don't get what it is BC have against Ashton. Without him, they'd still be lower league no-marks with no history speak of, rather than being occasional Championship challengers with no history to speak of.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

The latest posts were last night on ITFCs disgraceful behaviour in walking out of the EFL awards because McKenna didn’t get manager of the year or something.

Absolute tosh written by the Sun, who write nothing else, but a couple of the BC mugs picked up on it as yet another example of awful Ipswich and their evil CEO. One of the rock pool dwellers said of Ashton ‘Once a C U Next Tuesday, always a C U Next Tuesday.’ Charming. What a nice thing to say. 64 pages of hate and counting.

If we can get it done, I rather look forward to playing them next season, even if they are a nothing club.

Aston became CEO just after they spunked a load of money on stadium redevelopment, and we know how that affects finances in the aftermath (see also Arsenal, Spurs). Their antipathy seems to focus on MA’s undoubted fondness for business speak, but as you say, they haven’t exactly got a track record of achievement, other than a single season in the top division since WW2. He appears to me to be the scapegoat for the owner.

And the lies in the Sun were written by a budgie.

They’re now a nothing club with a slightly nicer stadium. Lifelong non-achievers.

I was singing Ashton's at the wheel at him on Tuesday night, was greeted with a smile and a wave.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?
