If asked before the play offs I'd have said I'd be behind Barnsley to go up, but after their comeback against Posh, I actually think yeah they'd deserve to win now. Plus they did actually finish 3rd in the table and pushed hard for the top two. Just hope it's a good game with Wednesday winning 3-2 maybe!

I want Sheffield Wed to lose just for the simple reason it will be quite amusing.

I don't actually care only that we usually do well at oakwell plus won't be competing for similar players although I think fee wise we will blow Wednesday out the water and be nice to see Norwood get the winner 🏆

Wednesday. Sheffield is 30 minutes closer and far easier to get to.

edit. But that's my head. My heart says Barnsley. Much nicer fans.

Sheffield Wednesday to lose and Moore to get offered a job in the Championship would be my preferred outcome.

Leeds only a short whiz up the M1 :)

I’d suggest Posh did their uttermost to help Weds. They got their tactics completely wrong and made the decision to sit back and try to defend a 4goal lead. They invited Weds onto them and hoped (expected?) to be able to defend it. Weds lacking in finesse simply piled balls into the Posh box. Got an early goal, then another, and the physiology changes for Posh, completely, a 4 goal lead suddenly becomes “just 2” (a much more achievable target for Weds). The Crowd are up and at it and all of a sudden it’s no longer defending a 4 goal leading, it’s defending for your lives.. adrenaline ( fear?) saps all energy in your legs as your on the back foot, and it’s almost impossible to change from the pre ordained tactic of sit back, sit tight, and defend. They couldn’t attack if they wanted too.

Posh did more to bring about their own downfall than it was Weds overturning it. I think Had Posh gone on the offensive from the first whistle , it would have been a completely different game.

Attack, as they say, is the best form of defence!

It is surprising how often 4-0 deficits are overturned in football for this exact reason. I belive Arsenal have done it a couple of times when being 4-0at half time. Ipswich took a 4-1 lead at Derby and after 1/2 time Derby clawed it back to 4-4.

Im not sure we can say 4-0 is a dangerous scoreline but it sure can be if you play too passively for a good chunk of time.

(TBF our 4-1 vs Derby did seem somewhat fortunate on the balance of play)

They are still quite rare but probably simply stand out more as they are more memorable.

Exactly my thought - there is a lot more fear in both teams than conviction. Unless confidence comes into the mix I could see a shootout now.

Trouble at t'mill according to radio comm - Bannan had a rant at team-mate who had a shot on target, but didn't have a rant at his mate who had a shot into the stands.

Best thing to happen to Barnsley was the sending off, they have come to life a bit since.. not sure they can sustain the pressure tho..

Even if Norwood had scored that they would have found a reason to disallow it.

Was waiting for VAR to drag the Wednesday player onside and award the goal.
