I picked up his new album today and am listening as this popped up. I haven't listened to the clip. I'm guessing the OP isn't impressed! I'll check it out later, but the new album sounds good. Well worth a listen even if you only have a passing interest in his music.

I was more of a Dave Ross fan, he was great, outlined everything freehand.
My mate had his first childs name incorrectly tattooed by Fat Bob, but it all fairness it was my mates fault as he was p1ssed and wrote it down incorrectly.

But underneath Ian Curtis’ doom laden vocals, there is a great pop song desperately trying to breathe.
No song is untouchable imo. I should be horrified at what Candy Flip did to Strawberry Fields Forever. But who cares. He put his slant in it and it had an audience.

All of that Cocker album is great. A quite extraordinary 'band' was assembled.

I can’t claim to be the poster that put you onto this but I agree that it’s simply brilliant. As a big fan of Joy Division, New Order and Radiohead, to me this is as good as it gets. Not up to the same spine tingling standard but here’s another excellent cover version :
