Jason knight 07:06 - Jun 21 with 10255 views | Stu_boy | Apparently we're interested in signing knight from dcfc, would probably cost in the region 1.5 mil to 2 mil, brizzo city are also interested

Plays centre midfield, where it's likely we're going to want at least one additional player. Him being versatile is a plus. Probably be more pressing areas but can't imagine we'll go into the season wanting to rely on Luongo and Morsy for the whole thing. Can't see Evans or Ball doing much this season.

Agreed, perhaps this is why dm recently said he didn't expect us to sign taylor. Wouldnt surprise me if taylor goes to brizzo and we get knight
Jason knight on 08:32 - Jun 21 with 5241 views | ArchiRob | Should endear MA to them even more if we Guzzump them. No further interest in Jack Taylor then or dealing with Posh

I'd have thought Ball would be ok. Evans' main problem is injuries, not capability. Plus there's Camara and Humphreys, maybe even El Mizouni on top. Unless we're planning to get rid of most of those (sell or loan out), then we're fairly well stocked at CM. Not convinced we're going to be spending significant money on an area where we already have players of a similar age and level.

I can see us overhauling the midfield, if I'm honest. Morsy is about the only one I'd say is safe. Evans is 50/50 with his injuries, but can see him staying around. Humphreys will get a loan in League 1/2 for the year (like Baggott this season). Camara I can see being loaned out, and El Mizouni sold. Luongo to be a squad player (probably similar ilk to Keogh this season) and Ball another squad player.

Jason knight on 09:26 - Jun 21 with 4775 views | the_toff | He would be a fantastic signing. He had had 3 years at Championship level by the time he was about 21, looked class under Rooney. I was amazed he stayed with them when they went down, thought both parties would've made a move happen as he'll certainly fetch a few quid. Excellent player.

Phil hasn't popped up yet to deny it either...

Jason knight on 09:39 - Jun 21 with 4637 views | Kieran_Knows | Derby are after El Mizouni, IIRC? So we could see a swap deal + a bit of cash. That might be in our favour.

They were listed yeah, not sure if it was agent talk. But it would be a pretty good deal for both sides.

Jason knight on 09:42 - Jun 21 with 4586 views | tractordownsouth | After the Bristol City interest was announced I was having a discussion with a Derby fan who was adamant Knight was worth 3-5m. I pointed out that that was never going to be the case because nobody will pay that for a L1 midfielder with a year left on his contract. Especially when Downes (who had less championship experience but was on a longer deal) cost £1.5m. I think £2m would get the deal done.

Jason knight on 09:44 - Jun 21 with 4538 views | RedX | A superb player and has a great attitude. £1.5m is daylight robbery for a player like him.
Jason knight on 10:06 - Jun 21 with 4312 views | IPSWICHFANITFC | I think this would be a brilliant signing. Very well suited to the way we play - watched Ireland the other night and the lad has a lot of energy about him. If it was a choice between Jason Knight and Jack Taylor then I'd be all in on Knight - especially with the Champ & international experience on his side.

Judging a player in a game against Gibraltar. Seems the right age, solid dependable with a good disciplinary. KMc would need to see potential to improve especially going forward if he is seen as a midfielder.

Jason knight on 10:20 - Jun 21 with 4098 views | itfcjoe | I imagine we are being used by Derby to push deal over line for Bristol City and vice versa with BC for Taylor from Posh If I had to bet I’d say Taylor to us and Knight to Bristol City will be how it ends up

Jason knight on 10:24 - Jun 21 with 4045 views | Naylorsrightboot | Now this guy is miles better than Taylor. Would be a good signing, Played a blinder the other night for Ireland in their win. Championship experience too. Would be a yes for me and in a position we really need to strengthen.
