Apparently, the show was put together by Clapton and when they did a run through/practice, Prince didn’t take part. He just said don’t worry about it. It’ll be ok. The was the ‘are you sure’ ‘we should really run through the whole thing’ and Prince just said nah, it’ll be fine (paraphrase)
And the rest is history - he shredded it. I’m the opposite to a music expert but I’ve never seen anything to match Prince’s guitar solo.
