Schmeicel replacement incoming at Leicester £5-6m on 07:56 - Jul 15 by DanTheMan
If Leicester don't walk it this year, something's gone wrong.
Yup it could turn into one of the strongest Championship starting 11 ever assembled.
You would assume the ex-Man City coach knows what he’s doing.
I think the challenge for them is the old ‘gelling’ of the team, opposition teams playing up against them, the losing mentality still lingering at the club and in the fan base, and a rookie manager who’s never dealt directly with poor results
If they hit the ground running and build confidence, then they should walk it.
I mean they see Hirst as not good enough and we prize him… so there’s a difference

It all depends how many of their stars they actually hold?
Maddison is gone, I assume Barnes is also off?
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Think we all need to calm down a bit. They won about four games last season. How many times you seen this keeper play?

Let me repeat:
“ I think the challenge for them is the old ‘gelling’ of the team, opposition teams playing up against them, the losing mentality still lingering at the club and in the fan base, and a rookie manager who’s never dealt directly with poor results”
Loads of reasons they could fail, but as stated, if they do get early wins and confidence the squad strength suggests they’ll be formidable
On paper they look comfortably the best team in the league but I do think they'll take time to settle and gel as a team. Wish we were playing them sooner in the season

I feel they are the ‘big scalp’ in the division this season… and as I pointed out below, they’re going to have to shake off the mentality of losing at the club and in the fan base.
A local derby of sorts against a good Coventry team could be a rough start.
Leicesters pre-season is an Asian tournament against Liverpool and Spurs… they’re a bigger club than most

Is imagine there will be a number of teams who look at Leicester’s squad and decide to employ the dark-arts/sh1thousing, and we know how difficult that is to overcome. I don’t think they will walk it.

We had the best squad in the Championship on paper 2002/03 but it doesn't always mean a lot. The scars of relegation can be hard to overcome and they're dealing with a decent amount of squad churn, and have a new manager coming in as well who is rather an unknown quantity as a manager. There's a lot of factors that mean it's unlikely their squad strength on paper will translate into them walking the league.
