VAR being VAR on 08:15 - Aug 15 by Swansea_Blue | Lol. And just to rub salt into the wound Gary O'Neil gets a yellow for a pretty tame reaction all things considered. Yet again, VAR isn’t the issue. It’s the rubbish standard of our officials and the constant tinkering with the rules. |
McKenna similarly got a yellow for a not exactly over the top reaction to the ref not giving us a pen at Sunderland. One of the rare occasions I wouldn't have minded having ng VAR, although knowing VAR they probably would have just let it slide.

And what about the yellow for time wasting taking a throw in on 35 minutes. How on earth is that in any way seeking to waste time? Echoes of Donacien on Saturday. Why do they make these rule changes and then eradicate any portion of common sense. Unbelievable Geoff!

Time wasting rules seem a farce. If you are losing its ok to take longer with throw-ins and goalkicks than if you are winning. Surely time wasting is the same regardless of current score and the intention is to keep the ball in play longer to increase effective playing time so a losing team has as much responsibility to do that as a winning team.

VAR being VAR on 22:17 - Aug 14 by JDB23 | It's a goalkeeper making a foul so unless he actually decapitates him it will never be given. Same with the Everton goal being disallowed, far too much leeway for gk's. |
A foul in the area is a penalty.

I was wondering if O’Neil fell foul of them tightening up on dissent, as you used to see far worse all the time. But yes, I’d forgotten about KM at Sunderland. That was a nothing booking.

VAR being VAR on 12:54 - Aug 15 with 213 views | RamRob | This is not a new thing though, last season Wolves keeper did the same v Leeds and going way back didn't Rob Green take out one of our players with a two handed punch to the face just outside the area and nothing was given then
