Yep travelling up to Newcastle this evening for a couple of nights as it’s my boy’s birthday tomorrow, we actually played Middlesbrough away on the day that he was born, so hoping it goes better this time round!
There’s a social club apparently but it’s a 40 mins walk to the ground?! Last time I went there were a few pubs in the town centre welcoming enough, the main away pub was Doctor Browns, that was decent but closed now. |  |

The only time I've been to the Riverside was the 2-1 win when Alun Armstrong scored both the goals.
We had something to eat and drink in the Yates Boro' town centre before the game... between ordering and eating I popped to the loo.
The barman was in there and didn't wash his hands. A few minutes later he was serving us (and others) their food. |  |

How old is he now?
There’s loads of stuff around Newcastle. Discovery museum is good fun for the bairns, there’s something call Northumberlandia which is north, and is a good walk and a look out over a quarry.
The Metro Centre has a Lego shop which always goes down well with Seb.
North East Land Sea and Air Museum outside Sunderland is a decent couple of hours and they’ve got plenty to look at. | |
