I think it is hard to say he has gone backwards when he left here as an 18 year old with 1 L1 appearance to his name and has now got nearly 50 Championship appearances under his belt
Development is not linear, and he signed a 5 year deal there in the summer so is clearly highly rated for the long term by the powers that be. He's the same age as Elkan Baggott, he's having a really good career |  |

Whilst I agree with the statement, it did seem a strange move at the time, given Nodge were in the Prem from memory?
He wasn't going to force his way in there, though I do appreciate as a Category 1 academy and Prem at the time, the fall can be less, even if you do move on so purely from a career point of view, it may have been a smarter move at the time.
He'd have certainly got chances at Ipswich, simply because we were crap, let's be honest.

Disagree with that. I think he's ended up playing more at Norwich than he would have here. Hard to see him breaking up the Morsy-Evans or Morsy-Luongo partnership of the last two and a half seasons. He'd probably have got Humphreys minutes but that doesn't amount to a huge amount of playing time and I think long term Humphreys is going to go further than Gibbs. | | | |

As the supermarket sign say's "Once they are gone they are gone" Humphries got much more gametime than was planed due to injuries. He did well, but his progress may have been compromised because of too much gametime. He'll be used when McKenna see's fit. One player I would like to see given more gametime is Baggott. I know he's away at the moment, but I rate him and to me his situation is weird in that McKenna won't loan him out, but although occasionally he get's on the bench he doesn't see a lot of gametime. Thought he was the standout player when he came on against Fulham. Looked composed and marshalled the defence and threw in a goal also, whereas our current defenders only seem to score on rare occasions. | | | |
