Yellow Cards 15:11 - Jan 25 with 1498 views | GeoffSentence | Town players have picked up more yellow cards than any other club in the Championship this season (71), except PNE who are the same. Despite that we are one of only three clubs who have not had a player sent off, either for a straight red or two yellows. I'm not quite sure what that tells us though, maybe we are good at getting stuck in but very disciplined about it? Or maybe it's just the Morsy effect that means we are right up there on yellows.

Hladky has been hastly booked for timewasting twice as well, much quicker than other keepers normally are.

There have also been the Sunderland and Norwich matches in particular where fouls by our players seem to get yellow cards but similar from the opposition didn't.

Three yellows in the first six matches and none since. Probably says more about the time wasting clamp down.

There was one last night in the Fulham v Liverpool match. A perfectly good challenge and minimal follow through. Far less follow through than Clarke, but he was still carded. With reffing decisions like these, tackling will become a thing of the past and the only way you’ll be able to turn the ball over is by interceptions or it going out of play.
