Thought Norwich played really well today 15:00 - Apr 6 with 4975 views | keighleyblue | Credit where credit is due, tactically they were spot on, gave us no space and stopped us playing all over the pitch. I doubt they will play that well again all season. They should have won by more and I thought it was a penalty when Morsy brought their man down. Ah well, onto the next. I still think we will go up.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:53 - Apr 6 by Ryorry | Like you, glad it’s over. Games v them are ones I always discount in my mind when considering possible points tallies, because they’re outliers that are always liable to kick you in the tits/nuts. Bare facts are that it’s 3 points lost, same as for any other defeat. Players and fans are all drained. Group hug and move on. |
Games that can kick you... unless you're a Norwich fan as you know you're not going to lose.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:44 - Apr 6 by Herbivore | I thought we were in control and starting to build momentum first half until the shocker of a decision against Tuanzebe. That woke their fans up and they then won a series of set pieces that ultimately led to their goal. After that they tried to shut the game down and play on the break and largely did so successfully, although last 20 minutes we had a few chances you'd expect us to do better with. Even on an off day they scraped a 1-0 from a keeping error, let's not talk them up too much. |
Again, I thought Tuanzebe had made an excellent tackle, but on second viewing he kicked Sargent's foot onto the ball. Another either superb decision, or lucky guess from the referee. [Post edited 6 Apr 2024 16:04]

Nah, really not convinced about that. He makes some contact with Sargent but he also makes contact with the ball. They replayed it several times and I've not seen what you're suggesting.

Even Sky thought it was a bad decision. Considering how anti-Town they seem to be at the moment, that says it all.

I'll have another look when i get a chance. A ref gets one go at full speed and the opinion of an assistant, so i wouldn't be over-critical on either of those decisions.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:55 - Apr 6 by Nthsuffolkblue | Is anyone else wondering what Gav actually posted before he edited that?! |
A question? Did their keeper have to make a save? Sorry we quite ineffectual. They could have had two. Ref missed the blatant foul on Hutchinson but levelled it up by not giving the foul on Sargeant. We actually never got going.

Cant believe anyone who has seen the replay talks about the "foul" on sarjent, which should have led to a yellow for him. [Post edited 6 Apr 2024 17:15]

Hladky had 1 save to make but didn't, unfortunately. How could they have had two? By Hladky making another mistake from the corner? Didn't Gunn save the attempt from Al Hamadi? Yes, Chaplin shot wide when he should have scored. Not sure what happened to the 3 shots we had on target if their keeper didn't have a save to make - was one of them the tame header from Moore? Not sure about the third but the other two from nodge were a direct corner that should have been a comfortable catch for Hladky and a block from our defenders. Yes we were ineffectual but if we had been given the penalty we should have been and Hladky makes the save he should have done, we win 1-0 comfortably (or more if that draws them out from their defensive shape). There was no foul on Sargeant. Even Leeds' Goodman said it wasn't. The TV replays showed clearly he fouled Morsy (outside the area with a covering defender). How does that even up a penalty? No, we didn't get going.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 15:16 - Apr 6 by ReusersTown | No way was it a foul if you were watching on TV. Sargean throws his leg out in front of Morsy. It's a miracle that ref saw it mind. |
And it could have been a red card for Morsy. Plenty of refs would have seen it as a foul.

Even if it was a foul, it would never have been a red, Woolf is directly between the ball and goal.

Thought Norwich played really well today on 17:35 - Apr 6 with 513 views | NthQldITFC | I've watched the a few times this season and that was by far the best I've seen them play, albeit as a counterattacking side at home (not that there's anything wrong with that). Having said that we looked so low on energy all over the pitch, particularly the supporting strikers. I suspect the illness thing is and has been quite significant. Hopefully that clears up soon. As you say, tactically they were perfect. A shame they didn't go into their cowering 4-4-2 like they did at Leicester. Not a pen the Morsy one - the bloke looked and stepped across him to engineer the contact. Not really sure why he did it. The Hutchinson one was more of a pen, but would have been soft.
