“I mean, I’ll be voting to get the Tories out, but I don’t really want the song to be linked to that.”
When asked what they would say if they were approached by Starmer, Mackenzie said: “There’s no way – our songs and politics, never again.”
Cunnah agreed: “I’ve learned the hard way. No, no, no. This is a change of guard, I don’t see this as an election. It’s just a change of guard, someone handing the baton on.”

"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
The health secretary, Victoria Atkins, has suggested Labour is having a “bit of an identity crisis”, referring to Natalie Elphicke’s controversial defection to the party and the infighting that erupted last week over issues around Diane Abbott’s selection.
So this fantastic song seems apt.
Incidentally, I love this comment on You Tube about the Dolls.
"Their music always sounded as if it was about to fall apart at any second. Takes a lot of skill to play like that. They were brilliant."

Starmer Chameleon.
I mentioned on another thread whether there was a Starmer equivalent to Tony's Cronies, and building on your post "Starmer's Chameleons" appears to fit the bill

Well Things can only get better mean't we got dragged into a war with Iraq and then Afghanistan which given that neither are remotely better for it was a waste of life and time. A majority of Starmers lot I have no more faith in than the lot they will replace. It will be "Same sh*t different day" Oh course Starmer is on the money when he say's the Country needs to produce more. Being one of the so called"Ageing population" pensions need to be paid for. But that also includes 6 million of working age that are on long term sickness. Government needs to stop this constant selling off of assets to foreign Country's.

With 14 former members of the armed services as candidates for Labour (let's hope they're not as clueless at Tugendhat), and Starmer stressing the importance of defence, all three of the following seem apt.
