Seat moves from west stand just notified 16:52 - Jun 10 with 19157 views | markt | Hi, Just been told about 600 of us have to move to accommodate the new press box running along west stand upstairs. We have to get in a queue tomorrow morning to move but options are severely restricted or restricted in west , or the crap ones in Sir Alf. Very poorly organised , and no time to sort,. How did Cobbold moves get on, I understand they were told and moved last week

Seat moves from west stand just notified on 14:09 - Jun 11 by Cheltenham_Blue | I went to 18/23 home game and a fair few away. I’m not sure what point you were making. Mine was, people might have to suck it up and sit with someone else, want to sit with the same eight people you’ve sat with for years? You can’t, because there aren’t nine seats together in the whole stadium. I’m fully expecting to be told I’ve got to move up a few seats to create blocks of seats together. And that’s absolutely fine with me. |
Yep fair enough, i wasnt questioning your commitment in any way, more about if you are a regular and have had a seat for a long time then people around you become part of your experience. When we had our original North Stand seats, we used to have a group that was probably about 20 near us and we shared the good and the bad (Stockport at home on a Tuesday night if anybody recalls!). My point was there is more to it than just sitting somewhere else, its leaving people you've been sat with and shared the journey with. Also, it could take a few seasons to actually end up sitting near your friends as you'd have to wait for those seats to vacate. My older sister and I had season tickets for about 4 years before our little sister could eventually get one of the seats next to us. I am wondering if we would qualify to move us en mass in this situation as we all have different surnames these days.

Seat moves from west stand just notified on 14:11 - Jun 11 by itfcjoe | So if it works in the cloud then it can be accessed by more people then, as opposed to one person sitting there moving floppy disks around the office? And also, we are talking about the club not engaging with people properly - the phone calls are more meant initially as an attempt to try and help and pacify people, explain things etc |
Let’s be honest, those people who work in the ticket office won’t want to make those calls, every single call Will be a headache, the seat locations will get less and less and the view will get poorer and poorer , probably need therapy after, ..just send an email or letter let them choose a seat, first come first serve , and offer first refusal on the upgraded seats when the stand is developed. What the club could have done or still do, maybe, is ask existing season ticket holders if they are willing to swap their season ticket, with offer of first refusal on a new seat in the stand when developed?

The publicly accessible cloud portal is only for selling unsold match day seats. You couldn't move a season ticket through it.

But I think the people in the ticket office are having to take these calls to get it sorted at the moment so still having to deal with it?

I feel more sorry for them, than the individual that’s moving seats then. Every call will be a head banger.

Seat moves from west stand just notified on 20:54 - Jun 10 by pointofblue | I do think it’s wrong that they’re only telling people they need to move now. How come those in D got an advantage when it comes to seats? Surely everyone should have been informed together? |
As someone that has been moved from Block D, I believe I should get first dibs on the next best premium seats.
