Have they actually trained? We can bring in players in the January window and they play the McKenna style within a week.

They just look like individuals. No shape or patterns of play.

He's given us some great times as England fans but it looks as though the game's moved on and he hasn't kept pace. A tournament too far.

I think Southgate's time was always up but he has been more successful other than Sir Alf. I still say something is wrong with English football in international football, why have all managers since Sir Alf failed.

Do we as fans expect too much?

There was a recent interview with an Italian footballer who said they always went into the league phase just wanting to get out of the league irrelevant of performance, even if they all end 0-0, and Italian fans know that and accept it. As he said they don't care if they bored everyone the important thing is they have 4 World Cup & 2 EURO winners against their name.
