Thanks for posting that, I'd never seen it either. Classy from Dave Bassett in the interview, and Sam Allardyce was pretty good too to be fair, can't have been easy for him doing that gig!

Some wonderful post game footage from our 2000 play off final. on 21:11 - Jul 8 with 2002 views
Mrs C recorded all of this (VHS!). We watched all of it when we got home, eventually, and I have never watched this post match footage since. Stirred up a lot of very happy memories.
What a day that was. All of it. Even the lunchtime McDonalds off Trafalgar Square was a good one! Oh my, the beer we got through. Even when we got to the station for home, we got grabbed by some Barnsley fans and into the pub we went for a yet another round or three and another talk through of the day..

24 years ago but so much about that day is etched into the memory. While the good times may not last at elite levels of football due to the financial elements of the game making the mere act of competing such a challenge, the memories you make along the way certainly do last.
Thanks for posting this. Really great time to look back on considering our recent rise from doom and gloom, football is a big old circle, just need to revel in being at the top of it and drink it all in for as long as possible.
Anyone got a countdown to the new season?

That really was a fantastic day, one of many I'd like to re-live.
I hadn't seen it before, and found myself looking at the Olympic Gallery behind Sam Allerdyce as that's where I was sat with the poster formerly known as Dalliance. If you're reading PM me long time no speak.ON
Goosebumps with all the footage; liked Kerr congratulating Sheepshanks, one of those snippets I'd not seen before.
I was hoping to see Reuser 're-enacting his goal, something he did just after going into the crowd to see his family and friends.
Aside from the result, Barnsley were very much part of the day, and Bassett was class there, for someone who could be fractious he epitomized sporting integrity.
