I really can't tell whether Villa really want him or are just trying to make sure they get a bit more from their sell-on by making us pay as much as possible. I think it might be the latter and the player appears to want to come here. | | | |

Seems to me that Villa had nothing to lose by invoking their matching rights and potentially something (however small) to gain so why not do it? Villa are well stocked in left sided attacking options though and I can’t see that they could guarantee JP a starting role so would be surprised if he chooses them over us unless they kill us in wages. | |

Probably get more cash with Villa and less game time. Here will receive coaching from the manager/coach of the year which will improve him as a player and increase his long term prospects. Difficult choice perhaps his descion will speak volumes of his character and aspirations. |  |
