If he's down as a LB, though, will he not get enhanced points for various attacking contributions?
That's always struck me as a tenet of doing well at Fantasy Football; picking players designated to defensive roles, which have a far greater attacking contribution than would normally be the case - Kieran Trippier/Leighton Baines for example. |  |

Not sure about that, midfield is a premium position with a lot of strong options, usually including a couple around that price point. Anthony Gordon for example was a similar price last year and delivered 11 goals and 10 assists, and at times was hard to get into the squad given the other options
If Hutch can do in the PL what he did for us in the second half of the year then sure, but otherwise putting blue specs aside there will probably be better options

I think he'll scoop up plenty of points by way of goal contributions, he'll be playing regularly and in a system that'll be designed to create the conditions for him to score and assist. And I do think we'll be semi competitive as a side, bottom 5 but not bottom 2.
I'll put my neck on the line and make a prediction that barring injury he'll finish with 150-180 points, which would be a good ROI.

Gordon will definitely cost more this time but my point was that there’s normally a lot of viable options for a decent price in midfield - Eze, Olise etc to name a few others last time. Just think there will prove to be better options | |

No doubt there will be some that prove to be, but the skill is in getting them before the event! It'll be interesting to see when its all released and to see the relative values. The 'wildcard' differentiator picks are so important, I had a good season last season and it was largely thanks to a few of those. | | | |
