Are we likely to see proper punishment for the trio 13:39 - Jul 26 with 2106 viewsEdmundo

Everton (again), Leicester and ManC all due to have punishment for infringement of the rules.
Could do with at least 2 of these being doled out early this season.

Is Everton one confirmed? I know they had 2 points deductions last year - and also read they might fall foul of the admin rule if they go bust.

Man City - suspect their lawyers will fight that until after we are all dead - just tie the PL in knots and avoid punishment.

Not sure about Citeh but I think we’ll do the other two home and away if that helps

...FFP/PSR infringements, so it's doubtful they'll get a points deduction even if they are found guilty.

Probably just a fine.

Agree. £10 fine each (paid for from the funds that go to the football league) will send out the right message.

In other words, they’re far too important to suffer the consequences for cheating.

In defense of Everton it was under an old regime (assuming they've been bought) and you're punishing them for something they didn't do. Boooo.

In defense of Leicester, they were the plucky team who competed with the big boys and won the League. It's the EPL deep state getting their own back. Boooo.

In defense of Citeh, I beg your pardon your Royal Highness it won't happen again (I mean accusing them of wrong doing won't happen again).

So slap on the wrists all round except for HRH who gets to slap the EPL.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Surely only 1 of those 3 we need to worry about. The other two will be more worried about relegation.

I certainly want the rules to be enforced properly, and with real teeth. And I would not mourn for Man City regardless of what, if any, punishment they end up getting.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's not quite right to say that a team is 'due to have punishment' before the charges have even been determined.

And that, is whh clubs continue to flout the rules isn't it. Toothless " penalties/ punishments" metered out.
