Southgate had a very good win ratio for England, but won nothing. So, just for clarity, I said similar results with a better outcome. The difference in similarity would be that we would win a final, which in turn, would give a better outcome.

I would have loved him as the ROI manager, the FAI did contact him but got sent packing.
Of course the English manager job is on a different level. But Carsley has been doing great things at underage level and personally it's always great to see promotion within an organisation.
Let's not forget some of the comments when McK was appointed. I hope he is a great success and not ravaged but certain media outlets.... Huge opportunity for him. |  | | |

I too would have liked Carsley for the RoI job but he clearly didnt fancy it and Heimir Hallgrímsson is a better fit for the current squad. |  | | |
