I had a test drive in a polestar 2 a couple of months ago. Can’t comment on ownership but it was a lovely car, would definitely consider it if going battery electric. Range appears to be good, quality interior, solid and well built, more than fast enough, intuitive controls, smooth ride, good looks (imho).

Oh cool.
I am getting one but never actually driven one or even seen inside one. Curious to here what those who have think
We opted for a tesla model y in the end due to favourable financing and offers at point of purchase though with recent events I'm extremely dissapointed at how Elon musk has represented himself and feel resentful about not choosing a brand such as polestar. We were in norway and had a good look round the showroom there.
The polestar is futuristic but does a good job of maintaining some car feel.

How do you find the quality on the Tesla? I was unimpressed when i took one for a test drive but that was 3 years ago. Given Tesla's ownership I've started thinking about Merc or Polestar.
No, standalone company albeit also owned by Geely. Volvo do their own EVs now.
I think they are really good cars. Went for a Tesla based on it beating Polestar in most departments including speed and more importantly range. The Tesla charger network was game changer at the time but opened up a bit now.
To be honest I will look at polestars next time and see. Interior quality is very nice and I really can't stand Elon Musk so that is a factor!
Pound for pound Tesla still wins so it will be personal preference on interior/style etc

What did you try? Step increases with each variant. I have 2nd gen one and my opinion is the quality is good. Not quite German BMW etc good but it's more interesting and nice space to be inside. I wouldn't go back to BMW etc now tbh. The bits where quality is more lacking mainly is the bits you don't see i.e. open up a door and their are messy bits if you go looking for them. But day to day the quality is good and I like the minimalist feel. The driving surprised me most. Great car to drive. The new ones are a step again. Quieter, tidied up some rough edges and some really nice new touches.
If Musk wasn't such. A douchbag they are no brainers if you are happy to spend the premium on an EV. I might look elsewhere next time but the Tesla is still the best all round option.

It is stand alone yeah,
My company has gone for it based on it having a better range than their Teslas so interesting. I am not really a car geek so we'll see how it goes.

Had just tested a 5 series, which might have clouded my view somewhat and then tested the Model S and the Model 3.
They do seem to come out on top on all the group tests and roundups.

The only thing I miss on BMW is the the little wheel controller for screen. Everyone seems to be going touchscreen only these days but frankly it's just harder on the move. Really minor issues though. Overall the screen is great.
Kia and Hyundai are doing a really good job on EVs as well.
My wife has one of these….superb cars. She has the 4 wheel drive version. Boy is it quick.
I have a Taycan and my wife has an i3 and for us both electric works well. Mine does about 360 miles per charge & the i3 about 190. Always liked the look of the Polestars, great looking cars and a touch less common than a Tesla.
