Apols if this has been posted before, but having noticed it on the QPR site, it made me laugh.

Why do some people always have to look for negatives and knock what is essentially a massive positive for the club? We're very fortunate on many levels now and this is just another one.

As said before on here, Eds not jumping on the bandwagon, he's Ipswich (and Suffolk) through and through. He's proved that through all his charity work as well.

His music is down to personal taste (and an aside), but personally I like his stuff and have seen him live a couple of times.

We shouldn't take him for granted- he's quite an asset to to us and I'm sure any press interest in him doesn't detract from what else goes on the football club.

Yep, wasn't involved at all whilst we were in League One... not at all...

You must have selective memory loss. He was our shirt sponsor in 2021 and I can remember being near him on a cold frosty night at Colchester. I get it if he’s not your cup of tea but don’t accuse him of not being there in the dark days

I was being sarcastic. I would have called out blueasfook but wasn't sure if he was looking for a 'whoosh' or not. Going by the subsequent reply, seemingly not.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

I wasn't overly negative about him. I said I appreciate what his sponsorship brings.

That doesn't mean you can't get to a point of finding it really annoying when it' becomes the Ed sheeran show.

Kinda how people don't like Wayne rooneys plymouth or Ryan Reynolds Wrexham.

"Shows" are what you see on TV.

Id suggest this football club is getting far more out of the Ed Sheeran partnership, than Ed Sheeran is.

You might not like his music, but this guy is a global superstar, and millions of others do.

I do think he missed a trick when on stage with Taylor Swift last week , he should have persuaded het to wear the new pink shirt …imagine the shirt sales with swifty fans across the globe !

"I wasn't overly negative about him"

"honestly I'm absolutely bored shtless with the Ed sheeran show"

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

What's your point?

I was the first to defend his sponsorship.
I love his sponsorship of the club
I like the way he goes about it and the involvement he has.

Do I like seeing him and his mates 5 times in a half to tell me he's leaving at HT no.
Do I need to see him after a missed shot no

I have no problem with Ed Sheeran at all. He has brought nothing but good to his and our club from sponsorship, investment now and above all profile. He has never struck me as somebody who sought attention, but just does what he does and enjoys doing it. Sheeran is able to do it on his terms these days and above all he comes across as a thoroughly decent person.

We live in a celebrity, media driven age. Just watch Wimbledon and see them pan on Tom Cruise etc every other minute. I might not like it but it’s how it is. It is inevitable he is going to get that if/when he attends games and that’s ok. It even happens with NFL coverage and Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games. Our celeb focussed world isn’t going to change any time soon.

So, as far as I’m concerned, Ed can set up his hot sauce van, invite who he likes to his box, become a director, anything he wants. He’s been and is nothing but good news for us - even if his music is not my cup of tea.
