Yeah, it's no big deal for me and I certainly wouldn't want to push an agenda. I'm just reflecting on the fact that cook brought in what, 19 players and by the end of this window we might be on 13 or 14. I don't recall anyone was predicting that number of signings earlier in the summer.
Also, just as Cooks clear out and influx was needed and in part a catalyst to where we are now, so is the current overhaul of the squad following such a meteoric rise. |
I didn't wish to offend some very active forum members who were convinced we'd end up much closer to 5 signings than 15, but 13 or 14 is a normal amount to recruit for a newly promoted side, even moreso for those who have spent a long time away. Half a squad felt/feels right for us to be competitive. |  |
