Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 22:40 - Aug 27 by itfcjoe | From what I gather he is one we moved on to at weekend when Broja deal was up in the air, and think AB is/was still first choice but we need to find a way to get a 9 in this week. I really like Foster, but the fee feels big - but then he was £10m or so, signed a new 5 year deal on promotion and now has a season of PL football under his belt so what is realistic? £18-20m? Brentford also in for Foster, apparently he’s been refusing to play in League Cup |
If true, I hope the club put measures in place to help him with his mental health issues. His move to Burnley left him feeling isolated, as he suffers from depression and spent time in hospital last season to help with his mental health issues. Would another move, with a huge fee attached be good for him? If we sign him, hopefully KM and co will learn from his experience at Burnley and help mitigate any problems a move can bring.

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 23:01 - Aug 27 with 3534 views | itfcsuth | From a player perspective I like him. He fits the profile of player we would recruit. Fee looks steep though. Lower fee with an option to buy and it would look a good piece of business. £25m though, wow that looks overpriced.

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 22:04 - Aug 27 by Vic | If true this feels like a massive, massive downgrade from the Chelsea lad. |
The Chelsea lad that was or the one that is? Regardless of that it seems an awful lot to pay for Foster. I’ll be very glad when the madness of this transfer window is over.

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 22:44 - Aug 27 by ArchiRob | seems underwhelming compared to Denkey - I was getting quite excited although knowing spellcheck would change it to Tony Adams (blast from the past who took his Donkey comparisons really well at PR) I feel like a child rattling his presents to see what is in them - may stay clear until Christmas morning and see what's arrived |
Seen Cercle Brugge play much? What could we expect from Denkey?

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 22:14 - Aug 27 by John_Warks_Willy | Maybe a bluff, but either way got 5 goals in the Prem last season for a struggling side. Maybe a real talent in there just needing some attention |
He had a spell out due to mental health issues though if I remember rightly. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 22:47 - Aug 27 by pointofblue | Hate to say to, but a whiff of desperation about this? I guess I did say I didn't want Broja whilst he was carrying an injury. BCWYWF and all that. |
Well we are desperate for a striker and have only 3 days left to sign one. All a bit frantic.

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 23:52 - Aug 27 with 2811 views | rickw | They paid £11m for him, he scores just 1 in half a season as they get promoted. He then scores 5 in a PL season and gets relegated so his price is now £25m??? This just doesn't add up to me!

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 00:08 - Aug 28 with 2732 views | SB_ITFC | I am usually just an observer on here but this feed triggered me for some reason. The bed wetting going on is something else. All of a sudden people would rather spend £30 million on a crocked striker, start claiming a striker they had never heard of before this morning is the best thing since sliced bread and are now claiming that Ashton is throwing money around now the shackles of the chairman are off with little thought and in sheer panic as we get near the deadline. Have the last few years not taught supporters to have a little more trust and more than anything no one or at least very few have any idea what is going on behind the scenes or what Kieran is asking for.

Has anyone said they’d prefer to spend £30m on Broja? I think there’s even more nervousness on that score due to his injury.

A season of quite meh Premier League football though, punctuated by injuries. That adds 8-10m?

That seems like absolute rubbish , why bother spouting it? Wouldn't be much of a medical if he's just done his Achilles would it. As he'd be rolling in there.

Chico has been doing his ITK act for a while now. Just takes things in the public domain and adds a bit on or just guesses. Don't waste your time.

Lyle Foster - Burnley…. on 00:45 - Aug 28 with 2490 views | J2BLUE | I know you can basically make a case for anything these days as there are so many stats but McKenna says he wants to add attributes to the squad. Some interesting stats... 24 appearances (equivalent of 21 full matches) 5 goals. 3 with right foot, 2 with left 33 clearances so would also help defensively. 21 were headers. 34 shots, 17 on target. 50% shot accuracy. 6 big chances missed. Definitely something there for McKenna to work with and if we can feed him more ammunition and sharpen that finishing rate a little we could have a good player. Do these stats suggest he wasn't played as an out and out striker for Burnley? No idea.

6 big chance misses supports a skim of twitter where Burnley fans mostly claim he couldn't hit a barn door for them.

Most strikers miss more ‘big chances’ than they score, even someone on absolute fire last season like Sammie Szmodics scored 27 goals and missed 17 big chances. Adam Armstrong, who is a good finisher, missed 28 for Saints last season. In the PL Mo Salah missed 22 and Son missed 20 so it’s not a figure that means a lot

Hang on, potentially £25 mill for a striker with mental health issues... Nothing wrong with having depression, and fair play for him seeking help with that But what an odd purchase.

Is there anything other than his mental health issues you plan on contributing about?
