Maybe they can double up and put an 'X' between the Clarke and the 2.

Richard and Jermaine definitely did. Think David was after them both?

Richard was here at the same time as David in one of his later spells. They were released at the same time, I seem to remember. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Presume when both the Clarke's are on the pitch... on 11:52 - Aug 23 with 2918 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Could always go Clarke Jr and Clarke Sr! There are a good number of players around with exactly the same names (Cameron Humphreys as an example). I wonder if two have ever been in the same first team squad. Was there an international team like South Korea once where most of the players had the same surname too? Which also reminds me of this ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-17990827

I was trying to find an article on the all the similar surnames in Iceland and came across this statement: 'Icelandic last names are fairly meaningless, and even in a very formal setting, noone uses the last name, even the president/prime minister would be called by their first name in a formal setting. The reason is that last names in Iceland are patronymic, meaning that they are based of the fathers first name. So for example Gylfi Sigurðsson, has the last name "Sigurðsson", because his fathers first name is Sigurður (so he's, "Sigurð's son", or the "Son of Sigurður"). That of course also means that Gylfi's father has a completely different last name (based of his own fathers first name), so tehre really are no family names as most people know them.' So Harry and Jack should forgo the Clarke and just have Harry and Jack on the back of the shirts...oh, confusion with Jack Taylor.

Think it has to be done more for the officials sake, to avoid confusion I guess.

There’s 4 Adama Traores out there playing football, not sure if they ever overlapped at a club though. Can’t remember if it was Spurs or Fulham, but one of them had 2 Moussa Dembele’s at the same time a while back. There’s also been 419 Tommy Smiths.

And female Icelandic surnames often end in the suffix dóttir (daughter). I noticed that in the Woman's World Cup matches last summer.
