Not liking others to have their own opinions accusing of bedwetting everyone has different views tonight is disappointing hopefully results will pick up I remember when we drew I think at a lower table league one side Mat on talking town wanted McKenna out.
He now has a lot of credit in the bank , but in the next couple of months results will need to pick up its how football works.lets hope for improvement on Saturday.

McKenna has at least three seasons credit in the bank for me tbh. He's a fooking GOD.

No one likes to see us lose.

However, there has been a lot of overreacting to tonight's result.

As Town fans we have seen enough of Cup football to know what it's all about.

There is nothing at all in these 3 performances that warrants such overreacting.

You're not *seriously* giving McKenna a vote of confidence for a couple of months, surely? Because that would be truly moronic given what that man has done for the club.

One lacklustre defeat. Yet the hallmarks of our system were there. Lots of good possession and touches in and around their box. We were undone by two set plays. Walton barely touched the ball other than picking it out of his net. Quit the overanalysis and let's move on with positivity to Saturday.

What is the expectation exactly? We've got promoted in double quick time.

No doubt significantly quicker than anyone expected.

The Club have backed the manager. The manager and his team have brought in players that improve the squad. And are also the right fit, character etc. as well as having scope to improve further.

What were you expecting or hoping for in these first 3 games exactly?

What has happened that would make anyone question any aspect of our approach?

We've seen enough in the Pool and Citeh matches to suggest we really will make a fight of it.

It really does beggar belief what people expect.

We've just got back to back promotions into the hardest league in the world. Sure, in an ideal scenario we'd have built a Champ squad ready to compete in the Prem over several seasons like Burley but that's no longer feasible. The gap is increasingly widening too. To the point that this strengthening wasn't just necessary, it was mission critical.

Rome wasn't built in a day. You'd think fans would look back to the second half of the 21/22 season and acknowledge that.

I'm just not sure what people were expecting here. To my mind, it was quite obviously an uber training session. KMc need to get the new players as up to speed as possible for the next league match. What were you hoping for in the grand scheme of things this season?

We expect to beat Wimbledon. Is that wrong ?

McKenna has all sorts of credit in the bank, and he has earned the right to take us to the end of the season even if we are in the bottom three all year. If he's not with us in 2 years' time, it will be because he's gone on to better things, and not because we've got rid.

However, you ask what was expected or hoped for in the first 3 games. To beat a 4th division side, that's what. We got promoted in double quick time, but we've never been as low as the 4th division. I don't think there's anyone who's really griped about losing to Liverpool and Man City. Those were respectable performances, and results that are in keeping with our status as a team that is aiming to finish in 17th or just above.

But tonight, having spent 9 figures on players, to lose to Wimbledon is a terrible, terrible result. If we can use it as a means of galvanising the players, great. But we've just lost an outlet to give minutes to our burgeoning fringe players, and we've failed to beat a team three divisions below us. It was a real match, and not a pre-season friendly. Yes, it's not the champions league, but it's a competition that we had a chance in.

I would spend time wondering why we as a club have such a terrible Cup record in the last decade or two, but I'm too busy being more concerned that we're now 3 losses from 3. On Saturday we play a team which already has a premier league win under its belt. And they're still in the EFL Cup.

We all knew these would be testing times.
What we didn't know, and know now from the cup match, is not many of those new signings are ready are they?
Clarke proved he is ready. But even OShea looks a maybe.
Greaves has been top drawer and wasn't involved, Smodic the same.
Muric is starting to seem to be a slightly better option than Walton.

My only main concern is the striking situation. We got 2 goals tonight, Chaplin is off the mark.
I give it 10 league games before I pass true judgement.

we can't expect to be immune from freak results, last year we had a cup game against a side from the 6th tier.

our stats that day 78% possession, 13 shots to 2, we lost 2-1.

our stats today 79% possession, 20 shots to 2, we drew 2-2.

what defines us and our season is how we react; last time we won 6 of the next 8 games

Poll: do you do judo and/or do you do voodoo?

We do. We also expected to beat Maidstone.

It is always embarrasing to lose to a L2 side. Nobody likes losing, especially to lower div sides but there is a real lack of being able to take a look at the bigger picture amongst our fanbase whenever we lose a game.

There is no intelligent analysis straight after a game, just post after post of low IQ toy throwing/fishing for drama.

Unfortunately some of our fans are fragile as hell, i'm not sure they're gonna cope with the amount we are going to lose this season. Newcastle finished 7th and lost 14 games - more than we have in the last 2 seasons combined.

You could see this entitlement last season, with a particularly poor atmosphere against QPR when we had 5 major players out and the team needed our backing.
