McKenna was keen on him in Jan 22 shortly after he joined so wouldn't surprise me.

Will they do business with us after the McKenna circus earlier in summer? Maybe why didn't go back in for Sarmiento?

I'd love him for the season, but be very surprised if it happened.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Wasnt there a rumour a couple of weeks ago that Man U want him!?

I would be suprised if it is him.......but not suprised if we get someone from Brighton.

Arsenal too, £70m..

he'd be perfect and yes KM wanted him before he went to Brighton...

I think he was already with Brighton, but hadn't yet made it. Then he got a run of games due to injuries & was well beyond a loan to a League 1 club.

Ferguson would be an absolute dream! Different planet to Broja and the others we’ve been linked with.

Looks likely to be the situation that they won’t , given that their keeper Duckworth was also in discussion to be joining us for much of the early close season , that went quiet after Mckennagate.

maybe the fact we wanted to buy rushworth and they only wanted a loan also might have played a role, clubs are not that petty you didnt bend and let us have your manager so we will never do business with you, sounds like something a 4 year old would do, mckenna was there he decided to stay and im sure brighton has had managers who stayed when they could of gone.

doubt it, either way I'm sure the club are over that whole situation now, as they have a new manager who has started very well.

Would be a good fit, depends if Brighton are still upset at McKenna rejecting them!

He's somehow fallen completely out of favour.

They've now signed Rutter and are trying to spend another €20m on Harder, while already having Pedro and Welbeck. They seem not to have Ferguson in their plans, if that's the case we should be trying to take him long term.

It looks like De Zerbi made some comments about his mental health when he was coming back from his injury, possibly why the media seem to be glossing over his fall from the limelight.
