We have Delap though. Hirst back in 3 games time. (according to Phil) If we sign another striker for £20M+, then Hirst will be our 3rd choice. As it stands Szmodics, Clarke and Al-Hamadi can step in should Delap get injured. We don't need multiples of 4 in each position. If we sign someone McKenna rates, then fine. If we don't, we will be fine. Plenty of options. Think everybody just needs to relax a little. We have spent over £110M this window. |

I didn't say they were, especially not KM whos job is to manage the team which hes doing. I said the potential non action on this specific situation is. We have a recruitment team for this. So again not specific to Ashton either. | |

It's not like there's been non-action though is it? We've made big bids on Ioannidis that we couldn't push through. We had a deal lined up for a key target in Broja that has stalled due to an unforeseen (on both sides) medical issues.
They are just the deals that we have a reasonably good idea about. There has almost certainly been a whole host of other options that have been explored that haven't worked for one reason or another.
We could really easily at this stage significantly over pay for a striker who doesn't particularly fit our system only for Hirst and Delap to split all the remaining minutes over the rest of the season. |  |
